I am now engaged (Did I rush it)

And for crying in a bucket - why all the secrecy? Just use your real login...

Ah yes I have always been against people not using their real usernames.

However people at my work read this site. Which in turn would end up my family hearing about it. Not to mention all of my friends.

In turn nope!

If you think you know who I am then please rather PM me!

My money's on resident emoboi = gdiza.

Snakepit would have used his real name if actually had a girlfriend...

Snakepit just got back together with that girl...

Whoever you are, there is no right time or wrong time. It is what you make of it. My parents... my syster... both kinda decided on seeing their partners for the first time that they'd be together and get married. Odd, but true.

How many girlfriends you had so far freakedout? The more girlfriends the more qualified you are to know if this is the one.

I consider it risky and irresponsible marrying the 2nd or 3rd girl you've ever been serious with. It takes at least 7-8 serious relationships IMO to put one self in a qualified position to make the right decision. Timing is imperative...

All I can say is "my light"

Now that that is out of the way.

I guess time will tell but I am terrified

But Ava, if your family are anything like you, they're all completely odd...

Spoke to her on the phone about it. She is over the moon about it.
She said she always knew we would etc etc.

Of cause it kind of sucks we can't make it offical yet.

We are both Christians although both don't really practise it.

Never ever thought about divorce:eek:

As a christian, I would advise you to maybe stay engaged(no reason to rush out of the room) but rather plan for the wedding at a MUCH later stage, you guys must really get to know each other and it's a shyte load easier to break off the engagement then to get annulled :p. I would assume that you have religious parents so jumping into marriage would probably piss them off a fair amount... you should talk to her about it, trust me,rather tell her that yes, you love her to pieces and that you wanted to get engaged because you don't wanna be with anyone else, but on the other hand, marriage is a big step and it would be best if we were together for a while (i'm thinking 1-2 years here) and then we see where things go from there...

Again, not necessarily the case.

The more I think of it the more excited I am. However I am going to make sure it is a long engagement

I think it might be an idea to tell your friends/family at some stage, probably soon.

Probably but I must stress they will KILL ME!

Which considering I am still dependent on them until the remainer of the year.

I am screwed:confused::(

Oh boy - yeah, you've rushed it way too soon then. Many years too soon if you're still dependant on your folks...

She is my 3rd serious girlfriend. By far the best and most awesome.

She suits me

That should be all changed by the end of the year. When I finish my studies
