iBurst gets tough on caps

This is complete rubbish!

Why don't they just continue to decrease the max speed of these subscribers until they only get 1kbps?

That way they can at least check their E-Mail (with LOTS of patience).

I just can't understand the way companies in this country are going backwards with regards to usage allowances....unbelievable! 8 users hampering 40 000 users. What are the contention ratios if so few users are "hampering" the quality of service for the remainder of the users?

Well....

40000 subscribers / 150 base stations = Average contention ratio of 266:1

Exessive misuse?....:confused:
If they tell you you MAY download, browse, etc further after your cap is reached, then YOU MAY!
Going back on their word or advertising to now cut you off... isnt that illegal somehow?
 
So 8 people downloading at a max of 64kbps are affecting the network? Says a lot about iBurst then, they're starting to look like one of those dodgy WISPS that uses ADSL for their upstream bandwidth.

It depends on what the T&C's say, if there's no provision for this then its breach of contract but there probably is somewhere.
 
It seems everyone is getting tough on usage, IS & SAIX are nailing everyone and now everyone else (iBurst) etc is going to follow suite, this sucks man!
