iBurst launches Double Data Deal

and then what? im stuck for the next 18 months at 1mbit and 2 Gigs of data? wtf are you people smoking?

They will screw you after the 6 months, what a joke u fools.

How are they gona get this right? They cant even sort out my 50% free after hours...... Or change my email adress... And i'm stuck for another 15 months..... Sort out your account department....... (but then again, like any other service provider, we will help you till you sign up, then your ass is mine!!!!!! )

Wow, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas.

I would not touch ibust with a 20m pole, never mind allow their claws on my bank account.

Beware of any orange branded company offering internet solutions....Iburst, Neotel, one is as useless as the other and both are in denial about the quality of service and price offering. They are both an absolute joke. Why anyone would get Iburst or Neotel if they had other alternatives is beyond me. they should have themselves committed.

the 24months or 36! bit is a problem in today's era.... alas, we still have a contract with them for one of our director's home .... some genius there decided to change the account name details, which for a company is rather important to have on the invoice and statement... trouble finding the genius who changed it, and get it changed back :-(

So they are worthwhile in areas where you cannot get ADSL or Cell C coverage? Wow I am happy I am not a shareholder, those be some slim pickens.

iBurst’s Double Data Deal may serve to get some consumers excited, especially in areas where consumers cannot get ADSL or Cell C HSPA+ services.

What an irony! I'm much happier with Cell C EDGE than with iBurst.

+1 with ceebee. That contract is the main problem here. You get locked in now so you don't have the option of going with Cell C when they go full throttle in February.Make it for a year and raise the monthly costs if you have to but please iburst stop subjecting us to these long prison sentences.

I think I'l give this one a skip. Maybe even a wide berth of say, 500m because the nails they have are pretty long it seems :\

What a complete waste of time how can iBurst still throw money down the drain by advertising on Radio and online, the industry has moved on and left them behind. Who wants a a substandard network with a limited national footprint with substandard speeds bellow par (<1Mbit/sec). They are dying a slow and arduous death!!!

Thanks to iBurst, another 5 minutes of my life is wasted by reading this steamy pile.

They need to pull something much better out of the bag to keep their little boat afloat.

But what?

iBurst seems to be completely clueless when it comes to turning the company around and competing in the current broadband market. The ostrich effect seems to be in full swing with their only answer to everything to give away more data for free.

Someone needs to teach their CEO the basics of accounting. You cannot run a business by giving everything away. You do it by offering something for which customers are actually willing to pay a fair price.

Cell C offers 10x the speeds with a network 20x bigger AND with lower pricing.

A bit of a no-brainer.
