iBurst modems DO they Exist?????

so you wait till all the modems are sold out and untill firmware upgrades start going down and right before this relativly small ISP launches and then complain how you cant get your modem on the same day, riiiiight. try giving telkom a call and see how long it takes them to do anything even when they dont have anything going on and thousands of modems in stock. On top of that you do not seem to understand the concept of reselling, people buy up the modems in bulk... and resell them along with the service, I spoke to two resellers I know and they both have modems available and both are not only listed in google but have also paid for google ads, so its not liek they're hard to find. Plus they deliver for free on the same day, so if it was such an urgent matter i'm sure you would have made a plan. It's probably for the best that you are cancelling your order if thats your attitude, you should just go get 1mbit ADSL from telkom... o wait i mean sentech... o wait NO ONE ELSE OFFERS IT.
 
huh? sorry I was told 3 days for my modem... it has been 13 days being told almost everyday that tommorrow is the day. explain to me how this expectation of mine being warped is wrong?

or is it OKAY the be poked in the ass by a corporation. They must work for their money damnit!!!
 
Slimothy's point is that you went directly to HQ, which sells it's modems to resellers before considering having stock for the customers, as the resellers are really the guys that brings in tons of customers.

So by contacting a RESELLER with your order, you'd get the modem DELIVERED FREE and ON THE SAME DAY, instead of poking the beast with "where's my modem" questions.

I waited 4 months for my ADSL which never came, and I waited over a month and a half for Sentech. WBS beats them even with the 14 days you've been waiting.

ic, the firmware upgrades to the basestations allows you to still work fairly well with the basestation itself, but with the new modem firmware, it would work even weller :D i can like to speak ingrish deliciously
 
I predict more or less the same thing, except that Shaun would be busy on his phone all day, he'll get demoted to call centre agent :D
 
yeah... so far sentech has beaten Telkom and WBS with a three days delivery time... but I spoke to shaun and he was cool about it all... its communication which is important.

What always impresses me is when a company apologises to you which he did and offers suggestions... something the helpdesk need to learn from Shaun.
 
The modems must be at WBS, got a call from Sheila to collect my modem tommorrow, funny thing is that I already have 1 and been on Iburst since November
 
i expect a full appology from viewthorn in writing on my desk by morning

Why is that? VT only ever said he was cancelling his long wait for a UT via WBS, you jumped to the conclusion that he would not be getting a UT via a reseller...
 
and you jumped to the conclusion i was referring to that when infact I was referring to him saying iburst is the same as sentech and he fears had he called today he would have been told thursday, when infact.. he wouldn't have, kthx
