International is no surprise but why is local so bad?

That's horrible. Slowest iBurst has been in months. What's occurring? Based in Greenside, JHB. Have external antenna.

Should be on the back of the modem... for me, I have the USB only modem, so mine is located on the iBurst terminal (the driver for the modem) and on the back of the modem.

As always, these speed tests done with a 1MB Desktop Modem connected to a Flat Panel Antenna. No background programs that could interfere are running, the MTU is set to 1392, and QoS is also disabled.

Download speed = 0.33Mbps
Upload speed = 0.22Mbps
Ping = 48ms
Speed Consistancy: 52%

Test conducted on 1/4/2013 19:03:38

Download Speed: 150 kbps (18.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 128 kbps (16 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 344 ms

A few days ago, the Seacom problem was reported as fixed. So iBurst, why are the international speeds still so miserable? Scroll a bit up, and you'll see a previous speed test of mine that was done on a Friday night long before those cable problems. My speeds then were almost 3x - 4x better than my current speeds.

And just to add.... this is not because of yesterday, this has been the speeds I've been getting (less than a km away from tower) for the past 6 months with the latency being around 180 to 250 for local.
 
Okay, so I'm too lazy to do one of my more involved speed tests. So MYBB speed tests will have to suffice.

Is it just me or has there been a total blackout on torrent traffic?
 
I don't always complain, not even when iBurst had trouble with ICASA.
But this past week, the speed is starting to become unbearable.
I have the 1mbit modem. The signal strength is 100% when the test was conducted.

Is it just me having problems between 7 to 10 pm my iburst going extremely slow/high latency only around those times for the past month? Its probably been happening longer, I've only been monitoring for the past month, trying to connect to the EU battle.net servers. Even the local internet is affected.

Was playing this morning with no problems. Seems when its busy times theres not enough throughput on their network.

Seriously iBurst/Bubbles (or whatever the **** you call yourself)... WTF?!?!?! You're willing to help select users here and there (like Chan0o - no offense @Chan0o) who has been experiencing the exact same speeds (recently by the looks of things) as me which I have been experiencing for the past year. Not that I'm complaining :rolleyes:, you can't even pay your fees on time!

To add insult to injury, your ****ty helpless desk make excuses about congestion... How many people do you think are constantly on the network between 12am and 5am every night for the past year? :erm: :wtf:

Is this what you call service? :rolleyes: Is the idea that we must only complain once a year when we have **** speeds for the whole of that year?

Absolutely pathetic. This is what I get on average, with a full signal and really close to one of the iBurst towers.
Needless to say that iBurst has lost another client. ADSL installed today and looking forward to some real connectivity.
