I had the normal 5gig package for R544, and the internet where fast and had no problems. But i moved over to the 25+ package and the download speed is poor. I download to max 20kb/s and my signal 100%. If am luck then i can get around maybe 40kb/s.During the day its around 20kb/s and if i download at 12pm at night then i could get 40kb/s maybe. I dont know what is wrong but i think we are super down throttled.

I stay in Annlin and my signal is 100%. Download speed is pooooooooor

Same problem here. Since I moved over to the 25+ package my speed is very slow. I'm currently downloading at about 15kb/s - 20kb/s. I've also notice a increase in speed only after 12am. Hope they can fix this otherwise I'm downgrading my account next month. No use paying for 50gigs if you can't use it.

If you are in an area with multiple towers you need to move around your house to diffenert windows facing north, south, east or west as some towers have a greater subscriber load than others and thus will experience better throughput.

I stay in Annlin and my modem is in my window at the South side of the mountain. If i go to the iburst coverage map then i see that my coverage is "Fair" .

New modems, perhaps? Anything different besides the package? I've also moved, along with a new modem, and that brought its own set of challenges - but my speed is still good.

i modem works fine, just until i upgraded, then it sucks bad.

Why is the internet in the night so bloody slow. And when the weather looks like its going to rain, then the internet is like dead. So i still dont know if its this package that i took that they down throttled the speed or something but its now to the point i am wasting my money on this package i took.

This is my speed test on Broadband forum

Test conducted on Thursday, December 01, 2011 9:46:59 AM

Download Speed: 269 kbps (33.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 135 kbps (16.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 175 ms

Plenty people with similar issue

All I-Burst users on the higher data packages should be experiencing the same symptoms of slow speeds. I am with I-Burst and experience the exact same symptoms. I-Burst relieve the throttling on the higher data packages after midnight until 5am which is why you will experience faster speeds after midnight and slower speeds from 5am.

Cant they just make it a bit faster during the day, i am trying to download from the internet and it takes super long time to Finnish. Luckily i have a download manager and it helps when the download can resume normally. If i don't use it, then i have to donwlod the dam thing over and over, just because the download stops on 2MB and where the file is 10MB example. my signal is 100% and i have this sh*t. My friend has the same package and he does stay 2 to 4 km away from the tower, but he does not have this problem. Please Iburst boost the speed

Doesn't even help complaining anymore. You have 2 options.

1. Contact Mel @iburst who is going to get techies to contact you. They are going to blame your pc and make you move your modem around. Cause you know, 100% quality doesn't really mean 100% quality. They might also make an appointment to phone you and never phone, and not respond to any correspondence afterwards.

2. Only use your iburst between 6:00-7:30 in the mornings.

Have you guys tried to change your MTU?

MTU is 1392 as suggested by iBurst.

The problem here is that most of our connections were great before switching to their new higher data packages.

I'd gladly downgrade my package again if that means my speed can return to normal. At this stage I'm rather investigating alternative internet solutions though.

on the new package and about 3 weeks ago my speeds where great averaging 0.7 to 0.8mb/s
in peak time with a low latency that whas when i first got my modem it kept like that for about a week
and then it got crap to 0.1 to 0.2 with a massive latency

my mtu is setup like suggested on the iburst website i even had it on auto but nothing helps
last night it was abit better averaging on 0.3 to 0.36

I ran a few (3) tests last night on Speedtest.net. I ran them from my iPad, and i'm not sure how to get links for those tests.

Ping: ~73ms
Download: 148 - 172 kB/s
Upload: ~50kB/s

I'm on the 25+ package, with a 2mbps modem and an antenna.

My speeds were **** (Using the test account) and then I changed the MTU a day or so later and speeds were fine...
Although it was the weekend (Saturday) when I had changed the MTU and checked, so dunno if that may be why.

Also that guest account may make a difference, not sure.

i regularly get speeds of around 0.73mbps. lowest i've seen was 0,68mbps and i have the pro10
