Why not take up a sport like touch rugby, action cricket, indoor soccer? Keeps you fit and is very social as well.
Its going to cost anywhere from a couple thousand rand for a decent point and shoot to r5-6k for a decent starter dSLR - and then it goes up from there10 pin bowling sounds like fun...i think il look into that.
