Can you confirm your unrestricted IP address range?
Mine seem to be 41.55.x.x

IP is 41.55.x.x, yes

Tested with http://www.whatsmyip.org/ping/:

PING 41.55.x.x (41.55.x.x): 56 data bytes

20 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

Edit: FYI, IP range on the "internet" APN is 41.53.x.x

None of my inbound that was working earlier is working now at all.
Don't think we are "unrestricted" at the moment.

CellC, can you confirm what ports are supposed to be open and what IP range we should be on when connected with the "unrestricted" APN? All of them or just certain ones? TCP/UDP? Is ICMP allowed? It's difficult to test if we don't know what to expect.

Definitely using "unrestricted".
Just rebooted the router and got a new IP address.
Still in the 41.55.x.x range.

Looks like ICMP is blocked and there is no reverse dns either.

Something strange here.
Can access cctv system (41.55.x.x) ports (37666,37777) from my Cell C HTC mobile only (41.54.199.x).
Not accessible from Vodacom network or internet via ADSL.
Can only confirm port 80 accessible from internet side.

Right the Unrestricted APN is in place, checked firewalls, router config, however still no OPEN NAT for Xbox Live
Checked the following ports and they definitely are still not accessible!

Log Test Error- I could not see your service on 41.55.XX.XX on ports (53)(80)(3074)(88)
Reason: Connection timed out

port 88
port 3074
port 53
port 80

The IP is very similar to all that are mentioned 41.55.x.x ,the only thing that has changed is the ping, download and upload,it has become very erratic and the modem thinks it's in Durban(I'm in JHB) ??

Guys need help, any suggestions?

My test setup is as follows:

CCTV system -- TP-LINK MR3420 Router -- ZTE MF-190 Modem -- Cell C "unrestricted" APN
IP address provided by "unrestricted" APN = 41.55.x.x


I have 4 test points to check access to the CCTV system: [TCP port]
1-HTC Desire HD Mobile (Cell C) [37666]
2-Vodafone V858 Mobile (Vodacom) [37666]
3-Nokia E51 Mobile (8ta/MTN) [37666]
4-PC on Fixed line ADSL (TelkomInternet) [80,37666]

All 3 mobile phones have CCTV access applications loaded (DMSS Pro). Video streaming on port 37666
PC uses firefox browser to access CCTV web management page (http port 80 + media port 37666)

I will provide CCTV system access testing feedback using the above format. (1-4)

4-PC on Fixed line ADSL (TelkomInternet) [80,37666] -- Port 80 only - user login screen, but no further, as port 37666 is not accessible.

If I switch the MR3420 over to ADSL (TelkomInternet) Wan connection, CCTV system is accessible from all 4 points.

Special Note:
If I set the ZTE-MF190 Cell C APN to standard "internet", the CCTV system is accessible from (1). (still within the Cell C network)
In fact, at the moment, it makes no difference if the APN is set to "internet" or "unrestricted", the CCTV system is still accessible by (1)

Conclusion:
The Cell C "unrestricted" APN is not providing full open access from the internet at this time.
Although, port 80 is indeed accessible from the internet.

The only ports that appear open on my unrestricted apn are 80 and 8080
Have not done a thorough test yet.

Using grc.com ShieldsUp!, with my firewall temporarily disabled, I see
22,23,25,53,80,110,8080 open at the moment.

Is anyone else having problems with the unrestricted ip range reverting back to non unrestricted ip range.
Set up router to connect with apn = unrestricted. Port 80 and 8080 and 82 all open (ip range = 41.55.xx.xx)
After a couple of hours only port 80 and 8080 is open and ip range reverts to 197.111.xxx.xxx range. The extra port 82 that I have opened on the router is not open any more.
No changes have been made to any settings on the router.
Why would it automatically revert back to the unrestricted ip address range ?
If I reboot the router it then gets the correct range and port 82 is open again.

Still battling to get an OPEN NAT for X Live the network team is trying to figure it out, all ports are in stealth mode whether you have the firewall up or down- for the router, windows and AVG!! Personally I think it has something to do with a port service/firewall but I can not put my finger on it,any suggestions from the forum will be most welcome!!

Not sure what your hardware setup is?
Do you have the Xbox console directly connected with an Ethernet cable to your router and then a 3G modem plugged in with a Cell C sim on unrestricted?

Not sure about this, but you may have to set up port forwarding to your Xbox IP address for the following ports:
53(TCP+UDP),80(TCP),88(UDP),1863(TCP+UDP),3074(TCP+UDP) (according to some Google searching)

Just for a test, I added port forwards in my router for 88,1863 and 3074

All works ok.

So no problem specifically with ports 88,1863 and 3074.

However, my system only makes use of TCP and not UDP.
Maybe something to look into?

Update:
CCTV system access working fine.
Added GSM/GPS vehicle tracking application running on netbook, which is working fine. 1 Min position live updates.
Also tested TeamViewer6 controlling my Windows XP netbook from my Android HTC Desire HD. Fairly responsive.
Looking good so far....

FYI..TCPView from Sysinternals is useful for keeping an eye on "foreign" connections to your Windows PC and shows bytes in/out

Do you have a router? i Have my speedstick plugged into my laptop and then an ethernet cable from there running to my xbox. I have no idea how to change my APN from "internet" to "unrestricted"
