I have borrowed my friend's custom windows xp sp3 cd and installed it my machine. Now my keyboard and sound, and possible other devices are not working properly.

My keyboard's @ and " are reversed. (I actually pressed <shift> ' before <shift> 2, lol).

The sound drivers that I had downloaded previously does not work, now I have installed a new VIA drivers and my computer shows as if it plays music on media player as well as system sounds but there is no sound coming from my speakers.

Change your keyboard type to US, under Regional and Language settings... set it as default.

Physically open the machine and check for the motherboard model number - use this to get the correct drivers.

www.driverdetective.com

Costs 30 dollars or something but absolutely legend program.

I don't have credit card hence no paypal either.

I have found the correct drivers though. How do I uninstall the wrong one and install the correct one? Every time after I said "uninstall" and then when I say "scan for hardware changes", the old driver get installed.
