Hey peeps,

I have just had one of my devs resign and we need a replacement ASAP. Preferably tomorrow :)

We were going to place an ad for another anyway but now need to rush it as we will be one short in month.

Will post a job spec and requirements soon but putting this out there so interested peeps can express their interest.
Company is in the mining industry and based in Hartbeespoort.
Work hours are flexible and will offer a market related salary based on skill/experience.

Will get budget etc... from the MD tomorrow.

Ye - don't flame because of the rushed wanted ad please. If you are interested give me a shout else just ignore this thread. Will update with full info in a little bit.

Full time?

i live in kzn so the commute would be a killer.

Yoh. That could be a problem :)

We work closely with the hardware dept so we do need to be at the office quite a bit. The company is flexible though and I work from home 2 days a week.

But Ya - KZN is a totally different story.

R75k p/m and you have a new employee :) I even do dished while not doing dev work.

So what do you guys see as market related salary?

Waiting for the budget from the MD. We were going to advertise for an intermediate level developer at R25k to R30k but with the resignation last night this changes. I am pushing for intermediate to senior level now.

30k lol, thats like slave labour.

I am open to suggestions. Been contracting so long so a bit out of touch on perm rates. I think R30k is fair for an intermediate. Naturally open to negotiation based on skills and experience.

But... If you have valuable input (vs the standard non constructive criticism you typically offer) please go ahead.

Clearly recruiting is not your strong point.

How many years experience do you expect this person to have? What range of skills, a degree?

Gave the tech requirements to HR and waiting for the final ad.
Bottom line is: 3 - 5 years .NET/C# and 2 - 3 years SQL Server 2008 or >. Degree or related tertiary education.
Our tech stack: .NET, C#, MVC5, SQL Server, Ninject, KendoUI, and the typical web stuff - HTML/CSS/JSON/jQuery/etc..

If the budget allows for it I am going to push for a 5+ years .NET / C#, 3+ years SQL Server dev. Would still like to get a jun to int level dev to groom as well. Will see what they allow me to do.

No - recruiting is not a strong point. But I have to assist with it.

Think you will have to up it if you want someone to travel from Jhb to Hartes.
