International connectivity with LocalOnly

the only reason i say idiot.. cause if you use the search button.. you can find out about this.. instead of ruining it for everyone who has benefited from this loophole..

Its like the only good thing we have going for us.. considering we get capped at like exactly 30gigs...no more free bandwidth... so just try be a lil more considerate next time and think of others maybe..

i think this criticism is harsh. the beauty of myadsl is that users can ask questions, debate issues, etc. i have learnt so much from this forum, even if it is how to take advantage of the system. i think IS is well aware of this issue, probably not even through this thread. come on, a little tolerance and a lack of name-calling is surely in everybody's best interest?

Seriously, why are you guys so childish.
Whats to stop the service providers from using the search function as well??

Or are you actually Patricia de Lille in disguise, trying to promote forum censorship?

In my experience, IS accounts always deliver more than expected. I don't think it's because they have made an "error" or an "oversight", but because that's how they can be assured of continued customer loyalty.

Unlike SAIX accounts which are resold by ISPs by the Gig and can be topped up by the gig, ISPs resell complete IS accounts which IS themselves manage.

At any time, IS has X amount of capacity on their Network and provided they are servicing all their clients at <= X, they gain absolutely nothing by limiting their clients to the precise details of their contracts.

Do people really think that they are getting IS "freebies" without IS's knowledge? They own the network! They certainly have the most to gain by getting their clients to think in this way; repeat business.

IS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Telkom/SAIX/THE THORN IN SA ECONOMY

Are you not worried that they surprise you with a bill at the end of the month....??? go read the terms and conditions of use, they have got the authority to charge you for what you used....

It doesn't work that way with IS accounts.

Yeah... My "local only" account is also working for international at the moment - even as my two SAIX accounts are completely useless.

It's happened many times before - not for very long at a time, unfortunately. I think it's a "problem" from IS's side - not Webafrica.

So close

Happened to me 2 this month, started mid month with a 10G local account, figured I could access international..aaaaannddd then it stopped :)

yeah last month i used 7gig int on my local 10gig....
this month i got capped on the 9th :p

But anyways, us discussing it or not wont change a thing with the way IS caps. So lets just all relax and enjoy what IS allows us thru the ISPs....:)
