I have been getting this annoying error for the last couple of days.

Every now and again my Vodafone router (with a Cell C simcard in) shows "Invalid SIM" and I have to restart it to fix it. Sometimes I have to take the sim card out and put it back in again to sort it out.

It has been happening more and more frequently lately and I'm getting really annoyed with it now.

Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix it, please?

Thanks.

I get this on my Blackberry almost weekly - a reboot fixes it but still annoying. On Vodacom.

It has been happening more and more the last week or two. Before then it was every couple of days, but now it's almost every hour on the hour. VERY frustrating! :(

happens to me with my CellC sim in my HTC Flyer, started happening on a regular basis about a month or so ago, have to reboot the Flyer to get it to work again

Shouldn't be. I've had the SIM in this router since the day I got it. It's a prepaid SIM, i.e. the one that came with the Speedstick.

It's driving me NUTS! It's doing it constantly now. I'm this close to throwing it in the trash! *grumble*

My reception has also been shocking lately. On 1 bar at the moment.

Good thing the prepaid time is almost over! Buh-bye Cell C! -.-

The truth is that it is. It needs to be checked. PM to Cell_C on this forum.

Popped into the Cell C shop and did a SIM swap.

Apparently I made a mistake in leaving my router plugged in constantly, as the battery overheats and damages the SIM card. I noticed before that the SIM was a little warped, but didn't think anything of it. Got a new SIM and it seems to be behaving for now.
