just as a comparison my setup:

1000w PSW inverter = R2500 - 00 ( bought from friend - new)

102Ah battery = R1100 - 00 (First National Battery)

660W UPS = R1299 - 00 (Macro Cpt)

total = R4899 - 00


powers my:

Dual View SD PVR

51' CRT tv

14w LED light

+-300w = 3hrs

I'd be keen to know where you got the batteries at that price

Yup the factory is here in slummies. They supply batteries to all car manufacturers in SA as far as I know.

Well I just phoned them up placed an order for a battery & charger. they did want a company name / tax number but never bothered about when I went to pay and collect.

Hi all

i hooked up my goodies from Geewiz (was fairly easy).

Only thing i find weird.. is there's a buzzing noise when it goes onto backup power..


when going onto backup power (it makes a buzz or bzzzzing sound).

Almost like electrical hair clippers (or electric shaver sound)



It also seems that 10A charging is louder.. vs if i switch it to 20A (20A makes less noise when charging. But users say 10A is better)
