IOS 4.1 released today?

The update just timed out again at 261.5MB of 308MB - I've just wasted close to 600MB now. I give up.
 
Well I just screwed up on 108mb into the download. Sh*t
But the good news is that on the restart my speeds are higher.
Using VC 3G and download varies from about 400kbps to 1.5mbps,
Still have 26 minutes to go. I hope nothing goes wrong. 360mb used so far!
Wow! M$ Windows on my Diamond was much more economical to update.
But that's where the comparison ends.

PS. I can see all the Apple fanboys downloading extra data packages this month!!!
PPSS. Done and dusted 513mb later. Now to see if was worth the R98 spent on data.

Downloaded in 13 mins (ADSL) and busy installing. Touch wood no issues so far and yes from Apple direct!!

did anyone else have such a big download? It appears most people had a download 0f +- 310 MB. Why did itunes give me this huge update? I read somewhere that filesize will be between 300 and 600 MB based on geographical location, but could not find ANY more details on this... 4.1 running now, I just cannot understand the HUGE update....

BTW, HDR ROX!!!!!!

Download sizes (rounded off however my Linux box did it when I did a ls -alh) :
iPhone = 0MB (just had to chuck that in there - LOL)
iPhone3G = 308MB
iPhone3GS = 382MB
iPhone4 = 590MB

Plugged in my Iphone 3G and latest update is still 4.02 on Itunes.....WTF??

Lol, luckily I got rid of the ol iPhone 2g. Ok so iPhone 4 is that big. Quite hectic!!! Thanks for clearing up though!

I was battling with that at first until I killed that update message and went in manually to pull the update.
It then displayed 4.1. I guess someone at Apple US forgot to pull the 4.02 version

Any case all is working fine for me and there is a difference in speed now on the internet, especially News 24, Weather, etc.:D
I think this has convinced me to get my son bring me a IPhone 4 when he returns fro Aussie next month.

There is no iPhone iOS 4.1 jailbreak out yet. But ... a dev-team member has found a new bootrom vulnerability which is being worked on.
