iPad from FNB

Hey all! Some of you may recognise me from the Android side of the forum asking about tablets... I've finally decided to get an ipad (sorry Android fans!).
I'm getting the iPad from FNB - or rather, want to. They told me to sms my ID number to a number and someone will call me... I wanted to know, is there any other way to get this done faster? Apparently it takes about ten or so business days...true? I'm from Durban but I know you can go to one of the FNB branches/office in JHB (if you're from there) to pick up your ipad.....no option like that in DBN?

Sooo many Qs, sorry!

anyone got their ipads/tablets/phones from FNB?
 
You can go to the dotFNB stores. If they have stock you can get it straight away.
 
Did mine online.... but its when they first started the special, so stock was short... waited over 3 weeks :(
 
Mine took about a week as well.
There was a bit of a hold-up at the courier side of things, but once that was sorted the device (Note2) was delivered the next day.
 
hmm if I were you, I would rather wait a bit for FNB to offer the new iPad (When it arrives in SA). They might even offer the iPad Mini!

That way you getting the latest / greatest :)

Not sure they are worried, it is you making the mistake! :)
 
Update: I just ordered my ipad 3 16GB wifi + 3G -- here's hoping for no bad service or delivery issues from hereon forth :)

hahaha exactly! I don't get why people say we must wait for the next update when there's one every 3 months or 6 months - not everyone wants the latest one :/

ugh, waiting for my order confirmation :/ so frustrating!

It makes sense to wait for one if it has already been released. Now your buying an old model device for a new model price.
 
An update: I just received my ipad :D one exact week later - ordered it last week tuesday.

Great service and fast delivery - FNB is great :)
