Not really the same as there’s interest involved as well during the agreed terms of payment so you end up paying more in total.

It’s the same as when you get a new phone on contract.

It’s exactly the same if you use your credit card or a budget facility on that credit card. Actually, interest is probably higher when you use the budget facility.

Getting a phone on contract, yes, there is clearly a difference as maybe some of it is subsidised or at least you get airtime etc. It’s not the same as a decade ago though that’s for sure. Why? Because they can.
 
Orders through Vodacom are also being processed. Got the sms earlier that it’s with the courier.

This must be some sort of record regarding proficiency regarding an iPhone launch.

And mine has changed to Processing finally.

Edit: I see there are two entries on My iCare. One new one and the older one that came with the order. Dont see a serial number yet under details. Think some people reported that.

Yeah I have the serial number under the second one. Maybe it will update. Did you get the iCare email?

Yay mine also just updated to Processing.

Gosh I can't wait. My iPhone 7 Plus camera stopped working completely this week, as did the flash/torch. Almost like it knew I'm replacing it and is throwing a tantrum :ROFL:

So strange never heard of a camera modules failing unless the phone had some physical damage or just had a software update.

Yeah it's completely blank even after upgrading to the latest iOS. I did drop it a few times so maybe that affected it. Either way, I'm long overdue for a newbie

The worst part is that orders that got placed at 7am or later have dates of 18dec and a order that was placed 0:34 has a processing...

Makes zero sense. Core and iStore really try hard to scrape the bottom of the retail experience barrel.

Tracking says mine is at JHB airport. But I need to change my phone number as they have my wife's form a previous order some years ago, and changing it to mine on the iStore last week obviously never worked. So I tried calling their number and 2 others in Cape Town and I just get a long recorded message about RTT being wonderful. Ah, let's see how it goes.

Still no R1000 voucher either :(

2 lines of entries both from this morning at 8.47.

1st entry is "waybill created at hub JHB air"
2nd entry is "scanned to floor JHB air"

What do yours say?

I'm just dying to know what the sms says but my wife is not looking at her phone :p
