iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

CR: Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max is the best-selling smartphone for Q1 '24

What does Cyril know about iPhones?

:X3:

On another note, I almost bought a natural titanium 15 Pro Max this morning as they’ve had a reasonable amount of discounting here (£899 for the 256GB).

Where do you see the 15 Pro max for £899? They start at £1,199 for the 256GB model!!

Can you share a link? Would love to send this to my sister - she's looking to upgrade her 11. £300 off seems impossible.

Giffgaff, check their store for As New. They only had the natural titanium left this morning.

Yeah that's a refurb though - not new.

They generally arrive new. Giffgaff is just selling o2 stock, if you’re unlucky you might get a 14 day return. None of them are actually refurbed. Worst report I’ve seen is a phone with 3 battery cycles.

Plenty of posts about it on the Hot UK Deals site.

Pity I only saw this now, family is leaving UK Friday morning and there's probably just not enough time...

Very likely "new".

In UK, if you buy something online like a mobile phone or tablet, you can return it within 14 days no questions asked (as long as it is not damaged)

I actually did this when I ordered a Pixel 6 in late 2021. The fingerprint unlock just wouldn't work with my fingers, so I sent it back 2 days later, free of charge as well, they send you the return package.

So was this purchase a "want" or a "need"?

Neither really, it was a spur of the moment thing, I saw the post on HUKD, thought about buying one and decided not to, and then impulsively bought it last night. It does look nice in natural Ti I must admit.

I was amazed to see GiffGaff (and I presume o2) have a midnight cutoff for next day delivery.

I’ve already sold my 14 Pro.

Congratulations!

Funnily enough, in all my ownership and dabbling of iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, I have yet to hold and use a Natural Titanium.
I have owned the white and now own a black, a mate has a Blue 15 PM another mate and colleague has a Blue 15 Pro.

Think you chose the right time to get it, iOS 17.4.1 has been great, this is the version of iOS they should have launched with back in September 2023.

Apple's plan truly worked, truly insane that the moist expensive iPhone is the best seller. We have watched the Pro Max series creep up to #1 in the last 3-4 generations.
Also, truly RIP to the iPhone Mini, during the Mini days it never even managed to feature in the top 10, here we are with the"worst selling" of the range still in the top 10 at #8.

Also a note, impressive that for a second year we see a Samsung Galaxy Ultra make it into this to, seems the market is really shifting to premium smartphones in large numbers.

I wonder if it's due to the fewer phone offerings by Apple compared to Samsung that pushed the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the top. I say this as even though the most sold phone in Q1 2024 is the iPhone, Samsung sold more phones in Q1 2024.

******

Samsung has taken the lead in smartphone sales in the first quarter of 2024 as it has for the last few years, but it's not really about AI nor Apple iPhone weakness.

All my previous phones have been black but that was out of stock when I looked for a 512gb 15 Pro Max from Vodacom so I ended up with the Natural Titanium.

Wasn’t sure about it initially but after seeing it up close I loved it. Paired with a clear cover and it’s stunning.

My 15PM is stuck on 3G when roaming with Vodacom in Europe. My dad’s Samsung is rocking 4G no problem.

Can’t seem to find a setting that helps, even setting to 5G only does nothing.

iPhone experts am I missing something?
