Not having seen a Pro Max in real life, I was comparing that size to an old Galaxy Note 9 I have and a Pro Max is huge! For my use it is just too big.Pro Max...the bigger battery was a huge attraction

Thanks...my Earpods has a Lightning cable though, but I can perhaps look for a Lightning to USB-C adapterI have a Lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter and it works perfect. iPhone pics it up as Bluetooth.
So this should probably work the same.

I had my reservations, but I must say, I got used to the bigger size very quick. I "feel" it in my jeans pocket a little more but it's still manageable. Not having seen a Pro Max in real life, I was comparing that size to an old Galaxy Note 9 I have and a Pro Max is huge! Thank you for the suggestions so far.
I am now wondering if I shouldn't rather just buy a USB-A to USB-C cable, because I've just realised I will still need a cable with USB-A on one side, in order to connect my phone to my gimbal and powerbanks.
Looking at these two:

Snug USB-A to USB-C 1.2m Cable - White
But the Snug 1.2m USB-USB-C Cable from the iStore. iStore - The dedicated hub for all Apple products alongside the best Apple experience & exclusive services.www.istore.co.za
Then, I've still been rocking my wired Apple Earpods, I see there is a USB-C version for them but at R459 a shot it is not gonna happen. So maybe it is finally time for Airpods, but in the mean time, any suggestions on a cheaper wired solution? Some of the cheapies on Takealot etc. do not have great reviews.
I should just go and take a look at one in real life. My eyes may well thank me.The Note 9 is actually smaller in height and depth. 15PM is 0.3mm wider and 20 grams heavier.
It’s really not such a big size and it’s starting to become mainstream. Even Samsung’s entry model A15 is that size, actually slightly bigger.
Not a regular 15 as it won't get AI.I understand there is probably no definitive answer since the 16-series is not out yet, but if you were me would you wait for that, or just upgrade to a 15?
Can you pls explain broadly what the AI benefit (features) of the 16 will entail? And will all 3 versions of the 16 (normal, pro and pro max) have the AI features? Not a regular 15 as it won't get AI.
If you're interested in the normal version then rather wait for the 16.
The 15 Pro & Pro Max are more future proof and will get AI but personally, would wait for the 16 range as it's only a month or 2 away.
To run the AI which includes the new Siri, it will require the phones to have a minimum of 8GB of RAM which is why anything below the 15 Pro / Max aren't supported due to them having 6GB or less. Can you pls explain broadly what the AI benefit (features) of the 16 will entail? For AI and Siri 2.0 pls Google or YouTube the info.
If you won't be using those features / not interested then maybe opt for the cheaper models.
However, do keep in mind that the updates will be more limited on those devices.
According to rumours the 16 (all variants) will support all the new features, as they will have more RAM this time around. A newer processor or the same as the 15 pro/max on the regular model.
Nicely done!
Would the 15 Pro Max still be worth getting at this point with the 16 mere weeks away...
Have my eye on the 15PM at a pretty good price which might not be available for not too long from now, but worried about buyer's remorse when the 16 Pro drops
Judging by the leaks I wouldn't really be missing out on much unless the A18 Pro chip is leaps ahead and Apple bumps the RAM up. The battery improvements also making me do a double take.
Not super hyped about Apple Intelligence per se, just worried about longevity of updates as I plan on holding on to it for a bit.
Are you guys really happy with your 15PMs?
I suppose usage also means mileage will vary. Would you say normal use can get you to the next day without a charge? As a 15 Pro Max owner, I would advise to wait for the 16.
Battery life, while not terrible it's not great either.
I only charge to 80% - it lasts me till about 6pm and then it's around 25%.(I don't let it go below 20%)I suppose usage also means mileage will vary. Would you say normal use can get you to the next day without a charge?
