Totally agree with your rhetoric here - what is the big outrage about multitasking?? What will 'true' multitasking enable users to do that they cannot currently do on an iPhone?

I bought a 'Vista capable' notebook about a year ago and let me tell you it was far, far away from 'capable'.
Capable of hanging like a set of blue nuts, yes.
Capable of estimating that to copy a file of a few hundred megs over a network would take more days than ten average human lifetimes back to back, yes.
...the list is endless and well covered all over the internet as well as this forum and (I can only assume) written in **** on the walls of mental aylum toilet stalls the world over (from users losing their minds.. get it?)
You are 100% correct. But it's a VISTA problem and like you, I have my fingers crossed hoping that I can file the vista that came with my laptop in the same trashcan as my Windows Millenium Edition.
I meant it more generally, if you consider that each PC reader reading this, has a uniquely configured PC taylored to their needs [hopefully at least
