iPhone 4 launch confirmed by MTN

Nice!! Although the next thing will just be complaints about the price.

Probably :) But I was also thinking after posting that, he never said anything about it being available on Vodacom or MTN, just being available in South Africa...

it is exactly a week until I can port my number away from the horrible customer service of Cell C. To the horrible customer service of MTN or Vodacom ;(

awesome stuff, since I am with MTN and I hope that this will bring prices down (who am I fooling, they are probably in collusion )
either way I am banking on wining the Afrihost competition for an iPhone4 - only way I can afford one; for free

lol

Already signed up for mine, will have to wait 5 days for a port though

huh?

No, you pay R479 and get MTN 200 (R200 airtime to spend on calls @ R2.20/min, sms and data @ R0.50c/MB) you also get an extra 300MB/month data bundle and R50/month extra airtime. the 300MB and R50 free are in addition to the MTN anytime 200.

So in effect it's R250 worth of airtime (about 100 min) and 300MB data for R479 pm. and a free 32GB iPhone. Compare that to vodacom R450 for 120 min and 250MB and still pay in on the iphone.

so its airtime of R50pm free. i was looking at the MTN500 option cos i average 220mins per month. R1.95 per min on that. will the R50 be at R1.95 or outside of that rate?

can you only take it out the MTN200 and not a higher package? Sounds like the out-of-bundle rates are going to rip you a new one then....
