System went offline but a nice young lady by the name of Shance promise she will drop it of at my house after work. Just been here with the phone. That must be the extra mile ppl talked about

, Hope vodacom dont give excuses when he gets there to collect.Ordered my phone last week (upgrade), got the sms that it'd been invoiced on Friday, had the looongest weekend wait, and it got here @ 2pm. So, it would seem stock issues are (momentarily) resolved. It just waits to be seen how badly the backorder list will affect handsets getting into the stores.
But I'm definitely not complaining! This is the conclusion of about 5 months worth of deliberation, comparisons, researches, following endless blogs etc. I think I'm going to be happy

Who did you order your iPhone through? eg Nashua Mobile, Vodacom Direct, or Autopage?
I ordered mine through Vodacom Direct 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting

I'm VERY surprised because I've been reading on this thread that most people receive sms's first to inform them that the phone has been invoiced etc. I got NOTHING. Infact I called the consultant handling my order yesterday and she said they have not yet received stock and she will let me know via email when she receives stock.
I am now sitting at work... but all I can think about is going home to fiddle with my new toy

No I'm in Durban. I just received my iPhone, which would mean that Vodacom Direct has now got stock, despite the consultant informing me on the phone yesterday that they have no stock and have no idea when they will be receiving stock.

You got your micro-sim sorted out? I had to drive about 50km last night trying to find a vodacom store still open @ 7pm. Worth noting: they may want to charge you R105 odd for the sim, but it should only be around R65. That's the price of a sim-swop... That's what happened to me in any case. I was perfectly happy to pay pretty much anything though...
Hats off to Vodacom, I asked for nothing extra but in my box I found the Bumper and an envelope with my MicroSim. Didn't pay a cent for it, although I suspect I will have to pay for the sim swap anyway.
