iPhone 5 prices from Vodacom

Haha, these prices are crap. Expect an adjustment when MTN announce a better price.

Seriously Vodacom, why even bother adding data in such small miserable amounts.

You really have to be a HUGE apple fan to get suckered into those monthly rates for such pitiful data allowance and free minutes.

Demn this is a rip off :(

Nokia Lumia 920 is way cheaper than this :)

i'm waiting for the htc deluxe or see what samsung s4 looks like 5 inch hd baby

Vodacom "Smart" Plans....
haha... ja sure, moerse bloody smart. *doh*

I actually expected worse.

Price will be the same with the other operators. Maybe just a little more data or minutes. But expect to pay about those amounts for the contract.

You really must be a HUGE Vodacom fan to get raped every month!
My iPhone 4 was voda at topup275 for r389 so wil be considering other service providers with proper DATA tie-ins!

Wow - I think MTN or any other SP (without much effort) will beat those prices and offer more value. My MTN iPhone 4 32GB contract with 400MB data is about 600 bucks.

MTN usually has much better deals. Been with MTN for years now and quite happy. I think my 4s contract will be up soon, maybe get the 5 to accompany the S3? Might have better bloody battery life.

The way I understand it, is that the iPhone is expensive, not because it is an Apple, but because of Apple the company. Apparently they are not too keen on all mobile devices been unlocked in SA. My rumour mill informed me that the price is inflated to try discourage people from outside SA buying the phone here and taking back to their country. Just saying....

Apple sell unlocked iPhones in the US cheaper than here so that's not an issue. And before that other countries sold unlocked iPhones cheaper than here. It is just our greedy operators setting an artificial premium on what they see a 'premium' phone

Four months left on my Vodacom contract... I'm sitting on my hands 'till April, then I'll be porting to cell c or 8ta and get the phone from them, end of story.

Prices are wrong, in paying R999 once off for my 16GB iPhone 5 on the Talk 500 with Vodacom.
