^ Nice to hear the opinion of an Android flagship user...

On paper your Z3 has a better display (PPPI) ...what makes the 6a Plus much better?

Lol, selective reading it seems. It is a pity the resolution is so low on the normal 6s. Not everyone wants phablet and it will be nice to have crisp text as other phones have. Everything else about the 6s display is good.

it might just be personal opinion but i am finding the display much brighter than the Z3, the viewing angles are better and the colours are more saturated.

I just picked up a 64gb 6s in space grey. Odd thing is, there is an AT&T nano sim in the phone. The box was sealed with the cellophane and everything looks brand new. No little pin included to open the sim tray though.

Anyway, I put the sim into my other phone and it is locked. I can only imagine it was for testing on the production line????

Wat?

Is this another one of those paper value things to win a pissing contest?

There is certainly nothing wrong with the display and there's absolutely no lack of crispness.

Jeez...my 4S is even crisp enough.

That is very very bizarre.

I would have that Serial Number sent to Apple for comment if I were you. Especially questioning how an AT&T SIM ends up in South Africa as you obviously wouldn't' make that **** up.

I also don't see any kind of testing happening that would require a SIM card after a phone is built.

But when you're inspecting from 5cm away, it's not as crisp as some other phones! :whistling:

Sorry, actually I'm in Oman and it looks like stock meant for the US. The plug is one of the two pin flat jobs for example.

But good idea. I'll send them the serial and the story and see what they say.

Aaah okay that at least half explains the SIM.

But I can only imagine someone opened that sealed box and resealed it themselves.

Oman would be unofficial import wouldn't it? So that tells me someone would test it before selling.

No, it is simple really.

After spending time on a qHD phone, moving back to a FHD phone is noticeable.
Moving from FHD to whatever the iPhone6s uses is noticeable. The first few days it was particularly apparent. I am talking about text here, everything else about the 6s screen is great.

Okay I'll give you that I don't have qHD to compare it to, but I can't imagine needing a better screen for text than even my 4S like I said.

I have a 6 and 4S in front of me now and text is identical on both and I do believe the 6S screen is the same as the 6.

But yes maybe it's one of those cases where the one you have at home is the best one in singularity but when you stand in the shop and it's next to the triple the price models it suddenly seems lacking.

Colour accuracy is more important to me than outright resolution. Which qHD phone are you referring to? Chances are the colours are way too warm as my experience has been with most non-iPhones.

Agreed.

I agree with Brawler too as the sharpness of higher resolution phones is immediately noticeable, even 6 Plus to 6. It just isn't necessary and seems to be all about Android flagship competing.

I'd imagine it's official stock as I got it from one of the big supermarkets that's big all over the middle east. They have a big selection of Apple products as well as Samsung and everything else. And I'm also pretty sure that the box was sealed at factory, I'm pretty careful and very suspicious of stuff like that :D

But I'm busy restoring it just now then I'll fire something off to Apple and see what they say.

Is the pin not in the little folder thingus with the stickers and stuff? I discovered it there, 2 weeks after getting the phone and cursing Apple for being cheapskates.....

Lol. I turned it upside down, definitely not in there :D

But the good news is that I just had a live chat with Apple, and the phone was indeed brand new and shows as being bought and warranty registered today. She said the sim was likely left over from manufacturing.
