So just figured this "Reachable" thing out - double tap touch ID to lower the apps, pretty neat for the guys adjusting to size ;)

The size is an adjustment, two days in, i can say its getting much better. The advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages in my case. The battery life is amazing though, and i see myself never using the ipad again.

I don't think I could ever go back to a smaller sized phone again. After getting used to typing superfast with 2 hands, even a 6 feels uncomfortable and clumsy. I've also given up the iPad and read all my magazines and books on the 6 Plus.

The issue for me is that I can type super fast one handedly with my 5s.

I've got the 64GB from MTN for R559 p.m. R200 airtime, 500MB data. Bar Cell-C I believe it's the cheapest.

Edit: Also I think they have a promotion that gives you 30GB of data free for the 1st 3 months

Where do you get books? As far as I can tell the Appstore does not sell any books in SA , only free books by authors that have been dead before about 1945.

LOL.. have you noticed they(Apple) have NOT denied the difference? In fact what they've basically said is that on avg usage you can expect a 1-3% difference in battery usage due to variance of the cpu. The only thing they deny is that it will be as huge as 20% in 'normal usage'. 2ndly whats apparent in the notice from Apple is that the Samsung one is performing to spec and the TMSC one is performing better than expected (kinda said this way to prevent having a recall ;)) so if you lucky enough to get a TSMC one you are lucky.

yah i'm getting use to the weight and size.. viewing things make my iPad kinda redundant for on the go use and i tried watching Hulu/Netflix/Youtube and it was very watchable.. I don't think it removes the iPad from use.. but does mean when i do upgrade it, i will be going for the Pro version (larger size). I still use iPad as lets face it.. bigger is better for media consumption.. i just won't be carrying it daily anymore.

US store account. I can't speak for anyone on PC but if you're on a Mac, you can sync the books you have already with iBooks. iPhones use .epub as a format (your phone will read PDF as well)... You can use calibre to convert any .mobi files you have.

Correction here, the 30GB is only valid now for 30 days, not 10GBx3 months :/. Agent said so.

3D touch is, for me, the equivalent of having swipe gestures on Android. It's useful but not a necessity, can't wait for devs to make more use of it. One thing I can think of that would be nice is if WhatsApp would allow you to instant message certain contacts etc.

Try launcher on App Store. Can create shortcuts from today screen, or home screen icon, i.e., direct message or phone or settings shortcut. Cool app I found

Got my 64gig 6s today. Coming from a 16 gig 5s.

The landscape keyboard will take a few days to get used to, keep clicking the emoji icon instead of the number switch. The cursor move buttons are really nice though.

The safari 2 finger tap/pinch tab selector in landscape is awesome to, not sure if that was always there.

The fingerprint scanner is insane. The 5s worked well, but it was always easier to click and swipe to unlock. Now it is basically a click and it unlocks.

Tons of my phone usage is reading the web and watching YouTube, so the bigger screen size is awesome. The phone size doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, I can still reach everywhere.

6 hours in, great device
