Probably wouldn't be an issue. But I see they are refurbished. Why not buy CPO in SA and have peace of mind with a local warranty?

what does the return process look like?I wouldn't bother with Amazon Refurbished / Renewed, heard of too many stories related to theft, third party repairs not being disclosed, hidden damages and blacklisted / reported devices. Wouldn't be a problem otherwise if the hassle of filing and returning was quicker but the chances of receiving a good, clean device is very low, and if you wanted to take your device to the iStore, they need to send the device overseas anyhow to take care of region-dependant repairs which introduces more chances for loss, damage and nasty surprises.
I bought my wife a refurbished iPod Gen 5 with not a single scratch or mark on the case. So this is luck of the draw and a bit sensationalist from the guy.
