So does the Nissan X-Trail and some of the older Primeras. Let's rather put it this way - if it looks like it belongs and is good quality like on the Alfas or new Civic, I have no problem with it. It's the cheap and nasty aftermarket crap like that stick on set on the Polo in the OP that irritates me.

Can't see the persons face, nothing to ID him by except the Elvis top and the chrome door handles. Plus he was breaking the law by talking on his phone and the photo can be used as evidence... Rouxenator obviously thought of this when he took the picture

The dude is obviously stationary, his styling may be questionable but I'd rather have more of these types than standard white astras hogging the roads taking pics with their nokia n82s.

BTW the iphone can take videos... just not officially yet, and the latest beta firmware has improved the camera quality tenfold.

What improves camera quality a gazilionfold is 5megapixels and Zeiss optics. Dare I say 8megapixels (/me drooling over the upcoming N86...)

megapixels...smegapixels, if you want quality get a real camera, a phone camera should only be good enough for MMS or email so you'll still have enough cap to last for the month.
But if you're okay with being the douche sending a 20MB pic of the lunch you had today to a curious friend so be it.

I have seen some horribly riced polos. There's one in Brackenfell which is white and all the black trim has been sprayed PINK! 
Another one I saw had that red stripe around the grill, but I think they guy added it himself, and then thought 'why stop there' and proceeded to run the red pinstripe all the way around the car

Have you seen that green Jetta 3 that also cruises around Brackenfell and Kuilsriver? It has yellow outer trim, yellow interior and a lovely aluminium wing on the boot. IIRC is also has the fake chrome M3 vents and a pointless bonnet scoop

Just to clear a point up: The new Honda Civic DOES NOT have any chrome on it! The door handles are a brushed silver plastic, definitely not chrome. I would know because I see and touch said handle at least twice a day.
