news server is working fine since yesterday evening. but is still struggle with sum sites on IS...i can ping them but nothing, request timed out....on SAIX they are fine...

down again, unbelievable. I thought nzb was better then torrents. Where nzb so unrealible you never know if your download will finish. I left it going all night and all day and nothing changed, still hadn't downloaded anything. finally its finished, that's the last time i run it all night.

its up, hang on down, oh wait up again, down, up, down, up, down .................................................................................................................................pathetic

yeah its a bit patchy, just set your downloads and let them carry on in the backround, be patient you have the whole month to get your 30 gigs:D

how on earth can a service be this unstable...and for this duration

gonna pm the IS rep.

I don't understand why people moan about the news server. Considering its a completely free service, its absolutely brillant. Without the news server, we would all not be able to download as much content unless we pay for a very expensive uncapped account. If your unhappy with the news server, go ahead and get one, but stop b!tching about it please. We should be grateful that we can download stuff like this.

I come from the UK, where uncapped, unshaped broadband is so very, very cheap and I have only recently discovered the "local" accounts, I am so very grateful that the news server exists. Without it, I won't be able to download much without having to fork out approx 2 grand a month.

I think the people who run the news server are doing a good job - I mean everyone who has a "local only" account will most likely be using it. I think that they deserve a lot of credit from everyone who uses it (for free!).
