IS News Server down?

IS has done what they can do best (again) - seems to me Telkom & IS are in competition for the providing the worst service...
 
About time they limited connections, but that's not gonna solve the problems. They still need a major upgrade to accomodate more users
 
Everything. Both news.is and news.isdsl are up and on diff. ip addresses but speeds are and max connections are still pretty bad.
 
I seem to get new post but not the old ones from like a week ago.. so im stuck with like ep 1 2 and 4 of a series cuz fkn 3 wont download

Pretty ***. I think they might have limited thread speed as well as limiting us to a max of 4 threads. So it doesnt really make a difference what your adsl line speed is, we all get the same.
 
K, excuse my ignorance here (new to adsl), but what do you guys mean when you talk about multiple connections?

e.g. 'Just tried it now, 60kb/s+.... ok... But 8 connections '
 
Speeds have been good for me for the last week! Been getting full 384k speeds during the night and 15kb/s with 1 thread.
