got a 700mb file last night that was 69 days old, so i guess it's the upgrading that's messin u around (took whole night though!)

Major improvement for me today. Running both Android with 5 threads @180 and Grabit 5 threads @ 150.
Dunno if this will last, but looks like IS have started sorting the kinks out now.

It got better for a day or two but started acting up again on tuesday afternoon. Was slow yesterday with dead spots and now its just dead. Im getting the usual 0.5kb/s spike every 30 seconds

well its going better by me but still not near where it should be....running 4 connections and downloading between 10KB and 20KB

Ah looks like some good speeds but nothing but air. Anyone getting anything? I would appreciate some nzb's that work, might aswell download something. Idle ADSL is the devils playground ;)

Ziglet: When you say that you're getting `nothing but air', what do you mean? Corrupted segments, what? What newsreader are you using? The last day or so have been good for me (about 80-90% line speed, no corruption).

I also am only getting "air" it seems to be downloading, progress bar on newsleecher moves but nothing gets transferred to the download folder except 1 or 2 small files (20-30kb)

I load the nzb and it gets up to around 60kb/s and i can see the data counter saying that so many megs have been downloaded but when i look at the progress bar on the file, nothing, 0/14mb and it will even say ive downloaded 20mb while the 14mb file is still there saying 0/14mb... Finding it hard to find nzb's that will actually download :(

Using newsbin, will try grabit now...

Does newsleecher use multiple threads when downloading a single file? This may be the problem; I find that with with Grabit (which only allows one thread per file) if I have more than four threads running that I get server timeouts or odd errors. Try forcing newsleecher to only use one thread per file (can you do that in nl?).

Can anyone figure this out?

Only air using Newsbin v5.3. Using Grabit and everything is working!

Not that I am complaining, but I kinda like Newsbin.

Hmm im also useing Newsbin and getting "air" on most downloads but if I set it to use Easynews then it works perfectly, anyone have any idea what the problem is. Will try Grabit now.

Newsbin hates South Africans - It's a well known fact :D
