IS News Server down?

At the dismal speeds we're getting downloading 25gb is gonna take you 3 months not 24 hours. Unless you have a 4mb line and you "steal" our bandwith...........:D
 
Well its not local is it? So we dont have to use the news server, can use international torrents, p2p, internetional news server etc
 
Just what bothers me, the one night you get 1gb out of a 384k line the next night you get 143mb. Somewhere someone is using a screwdriver on us and we just say "AAHh thank you, I needed that adjustment.........."
 
Overall im reasonable happy this month, allthough there have been irratating problem's I've managed to download 32gigs so far this month, so I have got my money's worth and that's what counts for me.
 
Been better than last month, but still it used to maxx out my line at 64KBps constant.

At least I managed to get the rest of Deadwood I was missing and start on season two of Dead Like Me..

My speed just poked it's head above 50KBps for the first time in ages! I've just figured out why, I'm gonna play BF2 all day today, but I can't if the news server is giving me good speeds for a change :D (the two really really don't mix)

IF i'm lucky at the current speeds I get, I would only be able to download 1 exstra episode of Eureka for the next two days.
And this while I normally averaged 3gb a day........
We really need answers from IS not only silence.......
I understand service delivery is going down the drain in SA (with the exception of a few companies) but really this is getting rediculous.......
 
There has been an unoffical answer that they are upgradeing the servers and until thats complete we will get degraded service.
 
I have to say that I am disappointed with IS and the two resellers I am using, Imagine and Openweb. IS for their total silence and the resellers for their perceived lack of action. I lodged complaints with Imagine and Openweb and in both instances the response I got was not acceptable.

Imagine told me to be patient and Openweb said I should approach IS. Anybody got contact details for IS?

These responses were unacceptable. I will cancel my Imagine account this month and if things continue my Openweb account next month. This is the only way we will get some action.
 
And as one swallow don't make a season it won't help if only one or two people stop their accounts. But me for one will also have to stop my Openwebaccount due to this. If SAIX offers better service then that is where I'll deposit my hard earned money into.

I have managed to get 4 gigs in the last 19 hours. While not maxing the line out its not bad. At least the service is up and running OK.

Depending on what Line you are using..........

If this is on a 4mb line I'd call it poor..........
 
8gigs in 12hours yesterday. 4mbit


*EDIT: Though i got good speeds from selling my soul to the devil, it was not worth it how **** and sick i feel 2day. just got out of bed now
 
Is anyone still downloading air, my brother is using Newsbin and says his downloading air???
 
jeez, they need to fix this I.S news server, 39 pages of posts o.O that cannot be good.
