Is OpenWEB legit?

Hi guys

I've been struggling with my ISP for a while now and i got the 1 mb trial account for openweb.

it is amazing, my downloads are perfect and my gaming is incredible and also for streaming its perfect. But my mom has not heard of them and therefore she doesn't trust them and wont open an account at them.

so please tell me if they legit and the advantages and disadvantages.

Openweb is legit. A heckload of peeps on MyBB use them. Just remember that a test account is just that... a test/trial account - do not expect the performance to stay the same if you start (ab)using the account.
 
Openweb is a real ISP, if that is what you are asking. There are threads here about openweb and openweb customer feedback. I have never used them myself, but I know people who have.

I would get a 1Mb/s Business Uncapped account from Afrihost for R397 (incl line) its unshaped and no throttling. ive pulled 123GB so far on mine and its full speed 24/7.
 
Thanks man, downloaded CS: source through the whole day and downloaded at full speed and sometimes even to 400KB/s

You see, steam is bugged, if you downloading at 100KB/s and it drops to 0KB/s (which it does)for four seconds then it will times 100x4 = 400KB/s, so it catches up by saying 400.

Well my personal experience has show to be it outstanding, who ever said that must have had a line fault.
 
well that makes sense, i thought i was write in thinking its crazy to get that speed with my line.

And maybe my friends are wrong about Afrihost:p

400 constantly? On a 1mb. That a platinum trail?
 
Well, I have been with Openweb for 2 years and although the service is not always 100%, I am quite satisfied as I think I am getting good value for money

The accounts dept is efficient and does not make mistakes, unlike some ISPs reported on here

Yes, they are legit. I know the owner and can vouch for him.
