IS - SAIX peering problems again?

Thanks for the update MrBeep.

Your efforts in this are very very very much appreciated!

Want me to go round to IS's office and hit them with a big stick till they sort the problem out? :)

Thanks everyone who persisted, because it seems to have paid off!!!:D

Hey Friends,

The Engineers are currently very close to a resolution. You should notice a VAST improvement currently.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience. It is really appreciated!!

Kind regards

Leno, I received the following e-mail from OpenWeb this morning which may explain your problem:

Dear Friends,

There is currently a nationwide problem on the Telkom ADSL network. Many exchanges are currently experiencing issues that cause packet loss, high latencies etc. Both SAIX and IS users appear to be affected.

On the up side, the local pings to SAIX servers should be fixed now for all clients that arent affected by the Telkom Exchange problem.

Unfortunately, I cannot apologise on behalf of Telkom, as they couldn't care less. However, I apologise on behalf of OpenWeb for the inconvenience caused.
