Is the move to adjusted level 4 lockdown a good move?

I almost certainly got COVID from a packed bar and I know of six other people that have COVID and were out bar-hopping, so I can see that something had to be done. My best friend manages the bars and restaurant at a craft brewery and he contracted COVID as well, any guesses as to where and how he would've picked it up? However it seems excessive in that restaurants cannot have sit downs.

I don't know how best to manage it because we (and I am guilty of this) were/are taking chances.

If you are thinking we are messed up, just look at Australia. They only ordered enough vaccines for 4% of their population and showed no interest in more. As such they dont have open orders and are last in the queue. The Delta variant has entered Australia and has started spreading fast. They have no real way to stop it.

Having had coronavirus before doesnt really give you immunity against the DELTA strain. It may help a little, but not much.

You see viruses evolve with it's intent to kill. We have to fight it along the way, because the same happened with the Spanish Flu. When it was at it's peak, it could could in under 4 hours.

As such we knew from the start that it would mutate. We tried to learn as much as possible to prevent it from reaching that peak, where it kills everyone it infects.

You mean Astra Zeneca. It was only 13% effective to the SA variant. Most nations have chucked them. Japan recently donated some to Taiwan too.

There are over 108 variants of the Virus at the moment. We have to check which vaccines work for us. 2 million was contaminated by the lab too. We had to chuck those.

Masks work if worn correctly in reducing the spread, they do not stop the spread. Issue is lots don't wear or don't wear correctly (it does actually need to cover mouse and nose and not have a gap at the top; and yes, you will still be able to breathe).
Lock downs work if correctly followed, they reduce the spread, they do not stop it (that said, they are pretty useless overall as people don't follow social distancing correctly).
Vaccines also fall under everything else btw.

Except it's not 13% effective. Get any of the major vacccines, they all work fine, the idea is to stop hospitalization, not to stop you from getting it entirely, none of the vaccines guarantee that.

Immunity!=reducing symptoms

vaccine=permanent immunity without a need for booster shots by causing a less lethal infection
