That's quite an infantile attitude to have :rolleyes:. I (for once) actually agree with Lance. Typical South African attitude acting out...if they have made a mistake then let's rape them for all it's worth. No mine that you are, in theory, 'stealing' additional bandwidth that you never paid for in the first place. This reminds me of the situation when people had a 3GB Telkom Internet account, and they could go over to around 4.5GB-5GB and yet complained when they didn't get as much the previous month...

Actually we have paid for it, but Telkom just don't give it to us. Everyone knows we get screwed when it comes to bandwith. R554 a month should be getting us uncapped. Nuff said.

Well I do have a couple lbs of nestle toll house chocolate chips as well as some Reeses Peanut butter chips left so I might just do that . . . :p

So you're paying for uncapped? That's interesting. Yes, we should be paying R554 for uncapped, but that's not the reality at the moment. As it stands the R554 is for 3 or 4GB...there are lots of areas in South African where we are being ripped off - food, cellphone etc. Are you now going to tell your cellular operator that you only want to pay R1/min because at R2.80/min we should be getting 200 free minutes and 500 texts? Are you one of those people who'd steal free Cokes or whatever when one of those trucks loses it load on the highway?
 
No but if Vodacom forget to cut me off when I've gone over my allocated airtime, I'll happily keep on phoning and smsing people. Not my fault they stuffed up.
 
Sounds like we need a poll....do you feel guilty about 'stealing' from Telkom due their uncapping problems.

Definitely NO here!!! I wish I had a 4MB line so I could 'steal' even more!
 
I don't see how this is anything but stealing. If it's simply that Telkom has been overcharging us for years, then, by the same reasoning, affirmative action should be perfectly acceptable.

So if Telkom charge you for the extra bandwidth that you've consumed, will you pay for it :confused: (not saying they will, but if it happens..)
 
Well if Telkom do charge I'm safe. They can't charge for international and if they convert the international to blended, I'm still under the allocated 30gigs.

I have a 1Gig account.

So I should have 1Gig international and 10Gig Local. Since telkom messed up should I just let that local 10Gig go to waste? No!

My international cap limit is now 11 Gig this month. Thanx telkom!
It's only fair.

You make a good point...That is, for when there is a deliberate attempt to steal bandwidth from Telkom, under normal circumstances.

When the fault is on telkom's side, anyone taking advantage of the situation, is not stealing.

Telkom is welcome to challenge the public on this. They love to tell the public, that you need to pay, before any query about being overcharged on landlines, for phone calls.

We all know the horror stories of people. with a sudden R60 000,00 bill, being told to pay, before query...

I challenge Telkom to charge everyone for this "glitch".

I would love it when tens of thousands of clients dump telkom in one huge wave... :)

PS. Yes telkom, the public hate you. Deeply. Hear the calls for raping you back? That is not love...If this was the 16th century, you would be guillotined...to the loud cheering of the nation...

My contract with TI allows me to use 3GB blended bandwidth then an unspecified shared blended bandwidth and the 30GB local bandwidth. Due to them deciding to allow an unspecified shared blended bandwidth it would be difficult if not impossible for them to legally enforce payment for any usage allocated to blended bandwidth.
