ISP Praise Wall !!!

I am receiving very good service from Bennet Consulting at www.bennet.co.za. They are not a traditional ISP, they also have some other services and products.
And also OpenWeb for local only bandwidth.
/me likes the KZN based companies :)

Kudos to Openweb for their 30GB ADSL account for like R749! Thats cheap!

Service rocks. Been with them for 2 years now.

Well done OpenWeb!!!

IS enforced their new rate limiting policy on their Uncapped Express accounts, which was not working very well. And OpenWeb managed to organise with IS a new policy which fixed the problem. Everything was sorted in less than 24 hours after complaining about the situation. Keoma even phoned me to inform me of the change. Great service and support.

+1 for Openweb. I am on their VPN 10 gig and it is pretty decent at it's price! Keoma is a champion on the SA internet scene as far as I am concerned.

Cybersmart...

Cybersmart has been a good first adsl experience for me. The prices are good, night rider rocks, and getting extra bandwidth is a breeze. I really appreciate that their web page is a portal that I can instantly do everything from.

I mean, If I just downloaded in night rider time, I get 15gb for 259 and a 3 gig topup costs me 189...So for 448 + 25 I can get 30gb international, which is not shabby. Also the choice when topping up of paying an extra 20 and getting rollover to next month makes life easier. So running out the 25th does not mean you have to use all of your topup.

Well, big thumbs up for Axxess from me. I was having major problems with my previous ISP and then decided to cancel and change to Axxess - literally within 24 hours I was up and running with them and the few minor queries that I have had with them have all been handled with amazing efficiency and follow-ups to see that everything was in order. If only other major institutions would follow this example! Keep up the good work Axxess!

Philip.

How is it that cybersmart offers cheaper line rental prices then telcom? They have givin me the value for money for sure. Use to be with openweb but cybersmart is quite a bit cheaper.

cybersmart prices worth lacking support?

I would rate Cybersmart's prices, but I wouldnt rate their support desk...

I call a support centre and they dont know what a "echo request" is

Gave them the benefit of the doubt, so I spoke to someone else but they didnt know what a PING was! So I asked to speak to someone else, shortly after asking about protocol encryption, latency & dynamic/static addresses... (DEATHLY SILENCE) "what's that!?"

:D

Web Africa service levels exceptional

I've just had my first dealings with Web Africa, and I was all sorted out with a new account, activated etc within about 15 min. I think this service is exceptional. The whole process was online, and their webiste is easy to use, and fast.

Spoke to some support ppl shortly after to discuss latency regarding my new unshaped account, and they were well informed!

I'm highly impressed

Keep up the good work

WebAfrica: Best service, bar none. Great products, decent price. Good company.

Openweb: I like them because they have stuck their neck out with this new VPN solution. I like the fact that they are doing something revolutionary (relatively speaking), but I am disappointed with the implementation. It almost seems as if they have bitten off more than they can chew.

What?

Nexus

Why?

Only recently (last two months) stumbled on them after they were suggested to me by a few forumites. They're incredibly professional, quick to respond to support tickets and questions and with a credit card, service is up and running in seconds.

Love the user control panel - gives a really great sense of "control" over your accounts and you know what to expect at the end of the month :)

Maybe it's like that for other ISPs as well, but I've never really experienced it quite as I have with Nexus. Their site is also really neat and professional-looking :)

*happy*

WHO?

OK, well, im going to be praising WebAfrica as I have only ever had good experiances with them!!

WHY?

If I have any problems I always speak to Mariet and the problems get sorted out quickly, she is polite, efficient and knows exactly what you are talking about.etc

I have had a few problems with some of my accounts and she managed to get me sorted out within less than 5 minutes.

Because of her, IMO, WebAfrica have the best customer service iv come accross so far and they have AWSOME prices and are very helpful!!

Ill recommend WebAfrica to anyone!!;):D

SAINET RAWKS

Sorry PsyCLown, stealing your post ;)

WHO?

OK, well, im going to be praising SAINET as I have only ever had good experiences with them!! Up till now that is.

WHY?

They decided to hike their prices (to put it nicely) with a #*$^-load.
They were even kind enough to email all their clients to let them know about this beforehand and stuff.    LOL!, as if.

I'm (@*#$^ fuming here at the moment. They chose the Wrong day to mess with me.

Now to see if they are even allowed to do that and if they are already charging the outrageous new fees or not. If they are.... lol, shame. Poor things! :D

Fee structure:
Cap ; OLD ; Seemingly-NEW
01GB R049 R059
02GB R079 R118
03GB R139 R177
04GB R189 R236
06GB R249 R354
10GB R449 R590

Quick stats: +- 30% Hike all over the show. How nice of them hey?

Edit: Seems like they are moving to a data roll over model where unused data can roll over up to 100%, hence the price increases. http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?p=2068651#post2068651
