Israel's war on the Arabic language

And silly me; I missed the obvious response:

So, because you think I am boring, I must "go away"? What happened to you embracing all of humanity? Will you dismiss all boring people?
Only insofar as they expect me to react to their boring sentiments with interest.

You have yet to contribute anything vaguely useful or frankly relevant to the actual topic. Like others, you seem more interested in discussing the participants than the issue.

So I call it like I see it, sorry if it's not what you were expecting. :(

And again we descend into unsubstantiated comments or mild insults. Try and learn - and then grow a bit.

That is not an answer at all.

Answer the question properly. You seem to think stringing a few words together makes a decent answer :)

How many of the posts that you've made are actually about the way Israel is treating the Arabic language?

If you're insulted by reality, maybe you should adjust your behaviour.

BUT - you will dismiss boring people then - if they do not measure up to your measure?

It's the only answer you're getting, alas. ;)

Anyway, if you have something on topic to say, I'll consider responding further.

But hang on - why are you bringing up Israel once again? Arabic language? These are concepts you do not consider!

Only because you couldn't seem to state otherwise.

Although you still seem very anti-Jews; compared to say, other Arabic groups oppressing another Arabic group.

Psst - @Xaarog - care to comment on this?

I already have. Point to anyone supporting such behaviours on this forum. When someone starts doing so, there will be a need for me to criticise them for doing so, but not before. :)

Because no one spoke Hebrew after 400AD until 1800AD. So in Israel, Hebrew has been spoken now for 100-150 or so years, while Arabic has been spoken by the inhabitants for....?

If it was spoken pre-400AD then surely it's still an older language? The gap in the middle doesn't change its date of origin.

Doesn't really matter when it comes to what the inhabitants have been speaking in the area when determining what's a legitimate lingua franca though, does it?

Edit: And my eyeballing the numbers suggests that Arabic has been spoken in that area for 200 years more than Hebrew has existed as a spoken language. Not that this matters either. Sephardic Jews have lived in that region throughout at least since the birth of Christianity and they certainly abandoned Hebrew as a spoken language... *shrug*

Yah, a conservative who believes in LGBT rights, legalisation of drugs, legalisation of prostitution, abortion, secular humanism....
Those things are by no means mutually exclusive.

It wasn't ,admittedly, an every day language, but there have been Jews who speak Hebrew in Palestine for thousands of years. That was the point of my wiki link on Judea.

Ah, ok. So if I have some progressive views, but also some conservative views I am conservative? Why doesn't it work the other way round?

I don't care for the interests of any nation-state. I care for the well-being of the people living inside those nation states. I think arbitrary lines in the sand drawn over culture, race, religion, politics etc. etc. is utterly ****ing pointless.

Yes, you were particularly out spoken in the Pakistan easter bombing thread and the South Sudan civil war thread.... Oh no, wait sorry, that would be the Israeli segregation of maternity wards and Israeli war on arabic threads.. You had sweet f all to say about the first 2... Hey, but don't feel bad. Not too many folk on here did have much to contribute to those threads.

Lol at the terrorist apologists.
Muslims kill 300 people.....silence
Muslims blow up an airport...silence
Muslims kill Muslims...silence

Israel offends hospital patients slightly.....Oh! Oh! Oh! Bad Israelis!
Israel offends Arabic speakers... Oh! Oh! Oh! Bad Israelis!

Too comical for words. And you don't even see how funny you are.

Yep - actions speak louder than words - even if those actions are words in threads :)

Explain to me how 48% of Israel's population wanting all non-Jews forcibly expelled to you means that the non-Jews have no cause for actual fear.

Note the Jewish publication reporting the results, which the article properly linked to.

No one's sugar coating anything, you're just in denial. The longer you stay in denial, the longer you fail to address the real problems that threaten to destroy Israel.

Not non-Jews. Arabs. Just for accuracy.

Article headline:
Major poll: About half of Israeli Jews want to expel Arabs
