It would appear that Mweb is blocking BitTorrent 100%

MWEB is never down. There is no shaping except p2p. People left because of throttling uncertainty. Once again, please get your facts straight.

*edit*

Why I even go to these lengths of telling the truth, I don't know. I should not be telling people the truth so as to protect my incredible connection. Rather stay the hell away from MWEB. Keep the internet pure for us non abusive users!

Are you literate? I've already said that the throttling exodus was a separate event. I left long before that, along with a bunch of extremely unhappy fellow Mweb customers. P2P is important for downloading, and both torrents and usenet were barely functional at any time of day. Then came the total lack of redundancy and a number of us bailed.

Before I left Mweb, I had been with them since the day they introduced uncapped. Claiming that Mweb is never down is a load of crap.

More so than yourself.

If you want to be taken seriously, please don't be a n00b by applying the long-past to the past and most importantly, present.

MWEB is never down.

Before their instituted their draconian throttling limits, there was a period of time where everything was running like rubbish, and it wasn't due to the cable breaks. I left during this period. About 2 months after this, they announced they were introducing their new AUP.

Not just throttling, that was a minor for me at the time. I left because of scaly business practices and just plain lies.

So was a matter of principle. Also why I won't support Openweb even of they sponsored me.

You mean keep the internet pure for people who want to use only 5GB a month.

The only viable ISPs seem to be Afrihost and CrystalWeb and I'm not even sure about the latter.

Even I remember this period and I didn't even use their products at the time. Much whining and gnashing of teeth took place at the time.

Though I'm sure PostmanPot doesn't care. He just likes hearing his own version of events no matter what anyone says. Anyone remember the car that he was dead sure was being over revved? LOL

That's absurd. Post why you disagree, not this unconstructive rubbish.

Postman Pat feels very strongly about Mweb and Apple. I think he's gotten to the point where he can't distinguish between reality and delusion.

See above. And you feel strongly about other things, so what? Don't be pulling a kingrob here. Some maturity would go a long way.

Stay on topic or don't post at all, you should know this by now.

That's some serious ignorance.

"Seem" shows just how sure you are.

Let's not let Thor187 find out who your ISP is. Do you even know what real internet is on that 2Mbps line/1Mbps account?

One day when you grow up, you will realise that different people treat things with different levels of respect. Especially when you're a car enthusiast, which you are not. It does not matter whether the engine can handle it, it's about loving and maintaining your pride and joy.

Now that that's been dealt with...

MWEB is never down.

70 and 100GB respectively on their uncapped 2MB accounts? LOL! What if I told you I did about 50GB - 60GB in the first week of March on my 2MB OW account? Downloaded Elder Scrolls Online which is about 30 - 35GB once off. Then they released update 6 several days later, which was about 20 - 25GB.

Just downloaded Cities: Skylines this morning via torrent. 1.25GB file which ran full speed and finished in about an hour and 40 minutes.

Lol, PostmanPot. My OW account is outperforming your MWEB account. OpenWeb, of all ISPs. You've got your head so far up your arse you can't separate reality from your delusions. Mweb is not a good ISP. They're just as bad as Openweb and WebAfrica.

Ah, you mean when you got force fed humble pie by the guy who you were lying about on the forums? Maybe we should call him to see what he thinks of you saying he doesn't love and maintain his pride and joy? Because I recall you singing a whole different tune once he showed up.

snips bragging rights....

LoL. Thats postman for you, do not touch him on his ISP. So glad I canceled the five family Mweb accounts years ago. Got rid of the scum that wants everyone to remain on the dial up bandwidth at todays rates.

To be fair the only reason PP needs a internet connection is for MyBB, e-mail and sales.

To be fair again PP was caught with his pants down and both feet in the cheeks after a bout of MyBB foot in mouth disease.

I suspected shaping/throttling on Saturday too - my torrent started normally then suddenly 'died' completely. I then tried a different torrent with masses of seeders and it worked fine, so it was probably just a lack of seeders. A while later the torrent did start working.

I'm on 100G capped, so mileage may differ, I guess.

Just popping into this thread to understand why people are still with Mweb. I switched to AH business uncapped and although occasional latency issues (no worse than what I had with Mweb in 2013), it has been solid when it comes to any sort of traffic.
