I'm not following you. You don't like arbitrary syncing yet that's not what is supposed to happen. Syncing is only done either when you plug the device into a power source (which is rarely my computer in my case) or request the sync manually.

I find plugging it in by my bed side, and knowing it will sync while its charging overnight, very handy. Or rather I did when it used to work. :O
 
Ja, but that's the thing isn't it? There been a few anomalies with wireless syncing so on the one hand it's very convenient but on the other hand it's a feature which some expend time and energy trouble shooting which nullifies the convenience.

Maybe I'll give it another bash but I found it annoying and tedious, especially the initial sync which takes forever when you got 15gb worth of photos and videos on your device.
 
The thing that I don't like (and I'm not alone) is that they dropped the "display duplicates" function.. luckily I did some clean up before upgrading.

yeah, that is quite a unique feature that will be missed.

I wonder why they removed it?
 
Not overly fond of the new iTunes 11, and it cocked up some of my video file info that I took so much time categorizing nicely. Some actions also not nearly as easy when the sidebar is hidden.
 
The the traditionally green maximise button finally does what it's supposed to!
 
This is not a perfect release by any means, but the fact that it finally comes with a proper download manger makes the upgrade totally worth-it in itself.

Where is it? The download list on mine is working just like the old one.
