The R5 rifle is a favourite weapon of the apartheid operatives. It has come to the attention of BLF that the EFF funder, Adriano Mazzotti, is linked to the apartheid assassin and spy master, Craig Williamson.

BLF wants the white man not only arrested, but if he has a licence for such a weapon, for it to be revoked. An R5 rifle is a weapon of war. #ArrestTheSettler

Many questions are raised by the irresponsible handling of the fire arm. First, who is the white man giving Malema the gun to fire? What is his relationship with Adriano Mazzotti and Craig Williamson? Is the gun legal? #ArrestTheSettler

BLF to open case against the settler who gave Malema the R5 rifle
Black First Land First (BLF) will open a case against the white man who handed Julius Malema the R5 rifle to fire in public at an Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) gathering. The irresponsible behaviour of the white gun man was calculated to cause harm to black people. The crowd which was potentially under threat was black. The intention of the white man was very clear – that harm should come to black people.
The R5 rifle is a favourite weapon of the apartheid operatives. It has come to the attention of BLF that the EFF funder, Adriano Mazzotti, is linked to the apartheid assassin and spy master, Craig Williamson. Now Malema is seen handed an R5 by a white man to fire at a black event. This mirrors activities of apartheid assassins during apartheid.

Firing guns like that is not only unlawful but also highly irresponsible. This is an act that looks like the beginning of black on black violence sponsored by the former apartheid operatives just as black people are uniting in demanding land.
We also note that a black person was recently viciously attacked and beaten at an EFF rally.
BLF wants the white man not only arrested, but if he has a licence for such a weapon, for it to be revoked. An R5 rifle is a weapon of war.
BLF will open the case under the following details:
Time: 11h00
Date: Thursday, 02 August 2018
Venue: Hillbrow Police Station, Johannesburg
Issued by the National Coordinating Committee of Black First Land First (BLF NCC)
Not an R5 morons.
The "assault rifle" EFF leader Julius Malema seemingly fired from stage at a rally after-party at the weekend appears to be an AK-47 "on face value", according to a gun expert.
Advocate John Welch, chairperson of the South African Gunowners' Association, told News24 on Wednesday that the gun appeared to be an AK-47, "which is for many people a symbol of the former struggle". He said it was difficult to be 100% sure.
Welch said that fully automatic assault rifles, such as AK-47s, may only be owned by the government, i.e. the South African Police Service or South African National Defence Force, or category A gun collectors, of which there are fewer than 15 in South Africa.
BLF treating black people like they are little children, like the white guy is some kind of parental figure handing an 8 year old a gun to fire and he will listen because daddy told him to do it. I've seen many levels of arrogance in my life but nothing has ever come close to BLF arrogance.

As if that is new. All AA/BEE amounts to exactly the same thing.
BLF idiots..
BUT, I agree with them... if Adriaan Snyman was the person responsible for the weapons at that event, he should be charged... along with the EFF's fearless leader as well...
Juju’s Boer bodyguards dance to his tune

An Afrikaans-speaking boer is *willing to take a bullet for Julius Malema should there be an *attempt on the ANC Youth League leader’s life at his “Shoot the Boer” hate-speech court appearances.
Afrikaans-speaking Adriaan Snyman is boss of the posse of *gun-toting, gum-chewing heavies in *funeral suits and red ties who *escorted Malema *into the court building on Monday morning, sowing menace and *chaos along the way.
Apart from explaining that his team carried Dashprod SAR M14 rifles, Snyman *refused to be *interviewed about the ironies of his relationship with “Shoot the *Boer”-chanting Malema this week.
But Snyman is not the only scion of “Die Volk” in the company, Tactical Security Services, contracted to guard the controversial youth leader.
The team’s armourer is a coy mlungu sporting bulging biceps and a *table-top military coiffure who, in perfect Afrikaans, politely *declined to state his name.
He did, however, reveal that he was the second in command and tasked to see to it that “our *weapons function perfectly”.
Asked why all of them sported bright red ties, he replied: “To show we are a team.”
He also explained that his *arsenal of *assault rifles, banned from the courtroom by Judge Chris Lamont, was being stored in the three cars the team used to ferry Malema to court.
At the time of this conversation, the shining luxury cars – two black BMWs bracketing a black Mercedes – were parked illegally next to a one-hour parking zone sign in front of the Johannesburg High Court building, on Pritchard Street.
The fleet, with black-tinted *windows, was a permanent double-parked fixture on the street throughout the week.
Their occupants were a *poker-faced lot who did not *respond to jokes.
Asked whether Julius treated them to a cold beer after a *nerve-wracking day in court, the *armourer explained that the team had absolutely no conversations with the client.
He said: “We are professional. We have to get him out of this alive.”
He did confide, however, that some of their clients, whom he said included Hollywood star Charlize Theron, were nicer than others.
Throughout the dramatic week, the team seemed to enjoy immunity from the law, not only in the street in front of the court building, but also on the highway between Sandton and Johannesburg.
Asked why they didn’t discipline the double-parked drivers of the black cars parked in front of the court, three police officers in a parked police vehicle smiled, with one saying: “We like our jobs.”
While I was stuck in the left lane of the M1 highway just before 9am on Wednesday morning, three black cars whizzed by illegally in the emergency lane, along with police cars coming from the direction of Sandton*.
The last of the black cars displayed a registration plate I recognised because I made a note of the numbers of the black arsenals parked on the court’s doorstep.
The majority of the occupants of these cars are armed: five of them with lethal assault weapons and the sixth with what some boere *regard as an equally lethal song.
Using that logic, all South Africans of all races are little kids...![]()

Malema bodyguard 'planned cash heist'
Johannesburg – ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema's Durban-based chief bodyguard is accused of conspiring to commit a cash-in-transit robbery and is standing trial, the Citizen reported on Saturday.
Captain Shane Smith from Durban's organised crime unit said Adriaan Snyman and his associate, who worked for SBV Services at the time, allegedly planned to stage an armed robbery in which R4m would be stolen.
"I don't want to convict the man in the media, but he is facing some very serious charges and if he is convicted, faces 15 or more years in jail," Smith said.
"Initially, there was talk that he would plead guilty, but the trial is continuing.
"If he is convicted, he would be prevented from working in the security industry and would not be allowed firearm licences," he said.
Snyman and his associate allegedly approached two Bluff policemen to assist them in the robbery. However "after getting cold feet" one of the policemen went to SBV and informed them of the plan.
Smith said the alleged robbery was going to be a simple organised handover after which a false case of armed robbery would be opened. The guards were going to claim they were robbed at gunpoint.
THE cash-in-transit heist trial of Adriaan Snyman, the gun-toting bodyguard of Julius Malema will resume in August.
In 2007 Snyman and three others were arrested for conspiring to rob an SBV services of cash during a “staged” robbery. Snyman, who worked for SBV at the time, allegedly recruited two policemen to assist him in staging the armed robbery during which cash would be handed over by Snyman to men who pretended to be robbing him. After the “robbery” Snyman and his accomplices would meet up to share the stolen cash.
However the policemen later got “cold feet” and blew the whistle on the scheme. Snyman was arrested, and shortly afterward resigned from SBV Services.
In late 2008 however Snyman inherited money and began his own security company, licensing assault rifles and handguns while still awaiting trial.
Earlier this year his guards earned notoriety when, brandishing assault rifles and wearing suits, they provided security for African National Congress Youth League President Julius Malema during his hate speech trial. The judge in the matter threw the guards out his court. He had at first presumed they were armed policemen.
This week Snyman’s cash heist trial was postponed as the original prosecutor on the case had become sick and needed to be replaced. According to a very senior official at the Durban Organised Crime Unit who asked not to be named, the police might consider a hearing into Snyman’s suitability to own guns after his case is concluded.
However Martin Hood, an attorney who specialises in firearms law, said it was “a complete mystery” why the police did not convene a hearing immediately into Snyman’s suitability to own firearms as soon as he was arrested.
“The law is quite clear: Firearms, including those used by security officials, have to be concealed or carried in a holster.
“The law does not allow for rifles to be openly brandished by anyone – doing so is a crime. For Snyman’s guards to have walked into court carrying rifles is a crime.
“In any normal situation the SA Police Service should have arrested the guards who had carried rifles into the High Court building and charged both of them as well as the security company with serious breeches of the Firearms Control Act.”
Democratic Alliance shadow Minister of Police Di Kohler Barnard told The Citizen she would ask Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa why Snyman was allowed licences for rifles of the same type that are carried by the police and military.
Attempts to contact Snyman for comment were unsuccessful.
The discussion of firing blanks or not is actually irrelevant...
Discharging a weapon like that in public is illegal, period.
I started that discussion to show that his supporters or Malema himself is lying. He cannot be shooting blanks if the gun won't work. If it was a special blank firing rifle - then go and get it. Makes the defense of this incident harder. However, yes, you're not suppose to shooting anything - including air rifles in a built up area.
Fair enough..
But we all know it wasn't a special rifle.... it was a bog standard rifle and those were almost definitely live rounds.
