As you may or may not know, there are three aspects to keep in mind:
1) Line speed (this is provided by Telkom infrastructure)
2) Throughput (this is based on the type of account you bought from your ISP)
3) Data usage (this is a consumption level that your account is able to use; commonly known as a "cap")
With that in mind, what I said is that the behavior of the "Bolt on" is UNLIMITED which refers to "Data usage" or a "cap". This means that during 6pm - 6am and 24 hours a day during the weekend, we don't limit what you can download. The fact that the underlying account (Gig 4 Gig) has a setting of shaped (if that's what you were sold/provisioned with) means that if our network hits congestion limits (maxing out connection through the network) then we will shape the traffic according to our rules. If you have an unshaped G4G account (e.g. Platinum) then you should have been provisioned with an unshaped flag and therefore would not get shaped at an account level but there is always a possibility that the network is congested and may have slower response times; this is just a logistical issue, not an account issue.
Now in the case of users in Cape Town -- there is a congestion issue that we are busy resolving. This is a network issue, not an account related issue.
I hope that this makes sense to all involved. If not ... simply ask for further explanation.
Regards,
Chris
