I am hoping someone can assist with this and Crystalweb/Evonet are saying its out of their network therefore they can't help me and giving me shrugged shoulders. Wargaming whom I am pinging says contact my ISP.

The problem starts at the 4th hop.

Attached my Pingplotter screen grab.

I am having the same issue. the ping jumps from 3ms once it hits angola cable up to 363ms. been having the trouble for the third week now. I have contacted them and they say they have logged the matter but I have had no feedback and they don't return my requests for feedback. they said It does not effect them in JHB so it must be a CT issue. where are you situated? the connection at 363ms is basically unusable.

Not sure who your ISP is but here is a detailed answer from my ISP Evonet (ex Cybersmart). I also have to say that their IT manager also took the time to call me and explain the issue and assure me they are working on it.

Good day

I just wanted to give you a update.
So furthering our investigation with regards to the issue we found the following.

The traffic to World of tanks is going over SACS but returning to us via London.
We also found that when Crystal Web was managing the network they used a 3rd party DDoS partner
to scrub traffic.

We subsequently found out that they had created BGP route objects with the upstream provider of World of Tanks.
And they see London as a shorter route back.

We with the help of Angola Cables have requested that the BGP route objects be removed by the DDoS partner
and also by the World of Tanks upstream provider.

This is taking longer then we expected.

But what we can say is once the issue is resolved you will be looking at a ping of around 210 ms.

I am working on getting this resolved as this will not just affect you but allot of other clients on our network.

Kind Regards

I am on your helpdesk at the moment and Hulk is telling that "they ran tests and said nothing much can be done because you are streaming from servers that are very far, i.e turkey about 12 000kms away. It is the internet and its quite complex as well.

I responded by saying that I thought it was the internet, not half the world net.

This is a troubling matter and I am thinking that after 3 weeks with the issue, it may be time for me and others with EvoNet to move to another ISP. I don't feel the communication is honest and as the problem is not resolved, I suspect the problem/can is being kicked down the road.

Eugene called me once too and said he would follow up with feedback. That never happened and it was last week Wednesday, 8 days ago.

I don't buy the foreign sites story. I struggled to open ewn.co.za which is local and dailymial.co.uk is still timing out. Someone is not being honest. The connection is worse tonight than it has been in 3 weeks. Steadily getting worse.

I just went to the Evonet page and their online helpdesk does not seem active tonight. They must be experiencing the worst kind of problems if they are not offering this service - which is meant to run until 12pm weekdays. wonder when they are going to come clean about their problems and when a solution is expected to be rolled out

I got a call today from Eugene to let me know it is now sorted. No idea if it is true though as I cancelled and went with Cool Ideas. Did a test now and running 233 ping stable to WOT NA Central ( wotna3.login.wargaming.net ) no packet loss. 172 stable to EU.
