I’m a fan of wasting these guys petrol money.

Normally send them to an address across the road from a police station

Always check your available balance, an sms is just a notification it doesn’t prove anything. I would have hoped by 2022 internet savvy users would be aware of that…

Just had a Mr Proe Shabangu try to scam me out of a generator. Same story as mentioned above with a pdf proof of payment without a verification number, which he sent while on a call with me. When I queried this he tried to argue saying I had a PoP and a copy of his ID, but later just hung up when I resisted. He used the phone number 060 506 6348.

Thank God I researched this guy, while waiting upon his reply I searched up his email address. First thing came up was this site mentioning his a scammer. He offered me R500 extra saying he will pay upfront for the phone through PayPal. I told him it will cost me abit too much due to withdrawal and conversion rates. He really needs to be taken down. The first post about this guy was back in 2014. So just imagine how many people got effd over by him

This guy posing as Idris is a scammer. Using the name of a guy who is a motorcycle blogger in India. Very original (Not) when you consider that most sellers will Google the name. Anyway be aware and research your prospective buyers.

Hey guys

Put my LG Optimus L1 on Gumtree recently, and received a reply from a Johnny who wanted the phone for his friend in Kempton Park. Offered me R200 extra for shipping. I accepted and they offered to pay via PayFast. Fake payment notification was e-mailed to me from [email protected] < [email protected] > Needless to say I played along, just to get the shipping address.

Here are all the details of the scammer, as well as the e-mail address the PayFast notification came from (as per the e-mail header).

Notification address: [email protected]

Name: Israel
Address: 12A Lina Court Casaurina
City: Kempton park
State: Guateng
Country: South Africa
Cell Phone: 0611858274

Hope this prevents something like this from happening to someone else in future.
Trying to scam me right now. He's been at it for eight years. Disgusting.

Here’s a Very cleverer Scammer with UK Watsapp number. Trying too buy my bike jackets on Gumtree. Be aware.
