This is part of the scammer , Jody’s email to me…

Here is Jodys text.

“Thanks for the details but I need to inform you about this, What a coincidence! I received an email from my pick up agent a while ago, I am most sure i include that in my previous email, she said she won't come for the pick up unless i pay her the agent commission fee via Spar or Pep Money market first in order to be able to schedule a pick up time, i would love to pay them directly via Spar or Pep but there is no way i can get to an outlet here on the rig! so i have to ask you to help me with the pick up fees, i will include the R 750 they charged to pick it up and take it my home(1st class treatment), to the payment i will be sending into your PayPal account, so after i have made the payment I will need you to help me send the R 750 to my pick up agent through Spar or Pep money Market. I will be sending a total payment of R 3,009.95 into your PayPal account, which means R 1,950 for the Item, while R 750 for the Pick Up fee. I have also included the par charges which is R 9.95 and the R 300 left is a gift from me to you so that you can fuel your car and also get yourself a cold drink for stress taking.

I will be making the payment if you agree to help with this, Thank you.”

Wat de fok lol

They have all been very busy. Had 2 of them, Victor Da Cruz and Jody Radford.
All offshore working on rigs and or chefs on boats. PayPal is their preferred method of parting you from your money. I sent all correspondence with them to Gumtree and hopefully good people won’t fall victim.
Just edit your post to include the mobile numbers and e-mail addresses, that Google can index it.

A “driver“ turned up at my doorstep at 5:30 to collect a projecfor, he said
Not only did I not have a projector for sale, he had the wrong address
My house is no 14. He was told to go to Mr Ellis at 24
There is no 24, the last house in this street is no 20
He showed me the text from his principal which showed Ellis at 24
When I suggested he call this principal, he got all agressive and called me a whitey bastard

Big big business this s**t. Should have taken his number plate and reported him for a racial slur. Mind you the plates were probably false.

Put up a desktop for sale couple weeks back. Guy wanted me to ship via Gumtree shipping.
Incidentally I received correspondence from Gumtree earlier that same week about scammers trying to phish for banking details using a bogus website.
Needless to say I nipped that right in the bud.

I had the same thing, how does that scam work?
I just told the guy there’s no such thing and blocked him when he tried to talk more bs

Received an email from Gumtree. Missed a similar one earlier this year, but they used a fake Fastway website.

Yes that is the exact pic the scammer sent me

This guy [email protected] is still operating in Gumtree. He knows **** about the item and can't communicate to save his life.
He asks for your location and does not even read the details of the advert correctly.

Approach is the same, SMS saying he can't use his phone from work and then opens communication via [email protected]

Watchout and don't fall for this poopol

Yip and please pay via PayPal. Many of them around. Can’t understand why when you report it to Gumtree and Gmail it’s still allowed. Block the f***ers
