Seems like a pretty good deal to me... Just dont know if its worth getting a digital tuner coz our government has its head up its a$$ and wants to go with some brazil/japanese standard instead of the europe standard... :wtf:

That looks good.
Where are you buying from?

lol, good question. :D

Insurance should replace my LCD, then looking at getting another 42inch, price wise Plasma is the cheaper option.

Why not get a Sinotec or Logik LCD then? They're about the same price/size as the plasma? Or Samsung 40" 5 Series is about R6000 as well?

:D:D

My friend just bought a new 50" Panasonic Plasma (R18k for the best non-3D model) - it's a different type of picture to LCD, for sure. But there's no doubting it's faster and has much better contrast and excellent blacks. And MUCH cheaper than a corresponding size LCD. It looks like the sweet spot for LCD is 42" to 46" at the moment - anything bigger, plasma's better. No need to take my word for it though, you can compare side-by-side at most shops.

Hope you don't intend watching much TV/sport.

;)

Well that is why I was considering plasma, because the wife watches lots of SD tv which looks *** on the LCD.

I will use the LCD for gaming mostly and a bit of tv.
