Howzit Guys, Went through to HI-FI corp yesterday, the LED/LCD Hisense 40" tv looked great playing HD content but in SD leaves much to be desired. Also checked the Sony 40EX400 and that looked better, but I turned the corner only to find a 50" and 42" Samsung plasma side by side which captured my attention. Now im more confused than when I started yesterday.
Apparently Hisense parts are imported from china and then assembled here in SA(Midrand).
The search continues....
Exactly, you'll find a lot of these stores playing HD stuff to hoodwink customers into thinking they're good. Most LCDs/plasmas will always shine when it comes to HD stuff, but come short with SD stuff. Branded LCDs are better for SD stuff generally. Better yet, just get a plasma and you have the best of both worlds.
Take the 50" PS50C430 if your budget allows. It's the "daddy" of the PS42C430 we spoke about. Very well trusted plasma, with quite a few owners on these forums who've never been happier.
