I have a 50" and think its too small. My viewing distance is 3m as well. I want a 63" :) lol

i found 'em on gumtree (yes, where caution comes first)
 
IIRC, someone did buy the tv, got a nice sealed Samsung box... took it home only to find the box had weights in it and nothing else.

thought as much....as the guy that emailed me said they are in bloem, but a google search hints to klerksdorp...and they only deliver :O

oh well, off to check the SONY on special at GAME - dunno the model number as it is not advertised, but it's full hd 40" lcd
 
Game has two specials running:
Logik 22" full HD, 1 HDMI - R2000
Logik 26" HD Ready, 2 HDMI - R2000

The second one seems like a really good deal but I'm not really sure if it's the brand which keeps me thinking if I should buy.

Okay, never heard of Palsonic. Maybe it's like Sumsung

I'm looking for something for my PC, still got a crt. I've got a point for my dstv also in that room so it'll be dual purpose (Tv and PC). I guess the warranty will be the determining factor.

Got them down to R11k. I was planning to get a D490 but when testing 720P vs 1080P at my home viewing distance I could notice a difference in picture quality. I took my own .MKV videos with on usb.

I can't give too much feedback yet but once I've played around with it some more I'll give an update.

Got it from Hirsch's in JHB for R8699, it was selling at Game for R9999 and they couldn't give me an indication on whether or not it would go on special soon. Very happy with it so far, if anyone needs any info/feedback, I will look into it.

Is it just me, or does that seem extremely overpriced?

Doesn't even have 100Hz. :erm:
