LED TV Dilema

OK, pre-2010 (LED?). My observations were related to possible reasons from the difference in (photo) picture quality of Pot's 2010 c550 vs Killa's 2011 D5000.

I explained the difference in photo quality in the thread. It's virtually impossible to photo screens with my DSLR without the pictures getting heavily distorted. His P&S on auto does a much better job. The initial photos I posted were purely to show the pixels/text/sharpness. Also things like brighter LED backlight, brighter room account for his photo quality.

See the plasma here - http://www.imagehost.co.za/image-FED2_4F3BB205.jpg - same thing. Distortion. Obviously it's not like that IRL.

There is a difference i am sure, the quality up close on his is screen is distorted where on mine it looks like 23/24" inch quality up close. You know on a 23/24" when you sit about half a m you can see no pixels it's looks exactly like that but obviously 46" so i don't get it but ya it's wonderful.

It's bizarre to think you can sit 1m from such a big screen and it's flawless but i am loving it, i will post the model soon :D, i don't think it's that model postman. la46d550 or something along those lines. I will see if i can get a pic of corel draw from 1m away as well and upload it as well.

That be my baby :D.

Lol, you still think my distorted pics are how it looks IRL. I have:

1) Explained that it has to do with the DSLR
2) Linked to a thread I created 6 months ago about how to improve the camera picture distortion
3) Linked pics of my plasma as well to show you it's not the CCFL-LCD
4) Re-explained these things three times

So, explaining many times still hasn't worked, and you remain ignorant.

In closing, as I've explained, Grimspoon has the exact series as you in 32" (UA32D5000) and reported the exact things I've reported.

Well i just go by pics that i saw, looked a bit blurry and fuzzy to me. I had the same issues with my old 43" plasma. 1m away it was horrible, 3m it was lovely but with this monitor i have to be right on top of it with my nose touching it to even see a pixel.

Don't you know anyone with cheap rubbish camera that can take some proper pics for you?

Maybe i can pop around to grims place over the week and check out this blurry fuzzy issue. Will pm him tomorrow.

Pics were to demonstrate pixel structure of fonts etc. on a 32" FHD running native 1920x1080, to give someone an idea after they were wondering about pixel visibility.

Because you now have 1 million pixels extra, means bugger all about LED-LCD having some advantage which you constantly go on about. You run native 1920x1080. Comparing 1024x768 plasma to 1920x1080 LED-LCD an attributing the improved PQ to friggen LED backlighting is a good laugh.

Size 14 font on a 21.5" is made up of more pixels than on a 24" FHD, 32" FHD, 46" FHD, and so on where the font is gradually made up of fewer pixels. Either you understand or you don't.

You can counter it by using larger fonts...

So then what was the issue again if there are no problems? You cannot sit 1m away or it looks crap, i am lost now. It is crap from 1m or flawless?

Thanx to everyone who contributed positively in this thread.
I eventually took advantage of the special at dion wired and got the Sammy 46 D6600, and can say that it is really brilliant.
Thanx again.

Nice dude, there is nothing better than hooking up a huge tv and being impressed :D. Did you hook it up to your pc or just using as a tv for now?

Just hooked it up to STD DSTV(Still need to get a hdpvr) and also watched a blu-ray via ps3. I must say this is what I've been looking for. However I never thought the SD content would look this good though...
Gonna hook it up to the pc tomorrow.

@postmanpot : thanx dude.

I can't seem to find it,so can anyone direct me to the link where you can download a picture onto usb, to stick it into the TV to adjust the TV settings or any good links with getting the basic settings right. I def. don't want the scenario where I've bought the darn thing and am not getting the best from it.
