Let me try that again

Does this guy even live in SA? The local app store is seriously crippled. Mainly there NO games. Oh and no, you can sign up for a local account to do the upgrade

Ben very much lives in SA, you can hear him weekly on the ZAtechShow.

Why would Apple not allow the Games section on the SA App Store?

There are games, they are just severely limited. All the good stuff (monkey ball, poker etc) isn't in the SA app store. I emailed Apple to complain and they gave me a standard 'log it on the iTunes complaints site'. But the iTunes site doesn't allow logging of app store queries.

Very unimpressed :/

Wasn't Vodacom supposed to give an update last Friday (22 August) as to when they would be launching the new iPhone?

Same here, I can give you a US account if you want one, just PM me ;)

Even if their locked-in-repository (aka appstore) did allow you to install everything available it still would not make up for all missing features on that device.

You cannot share your favorite tunes with friends over bluetooth and you can only load music on it using a single instance of proprietary software.

Lame.

Maybe to you but other people don't share your view ;)

Yes - I know them - they walk around with T-Shirts saying "I love DRM"

I don't own anything with DRM thanks, all my music are MP3s and my iphone has no problem with it. ;)

Jobs actually made a statement against DRM a while back.

Yes - all your music is now firmly locked into a fruity setup - well done.

Jobs is against DRM because he is planning SRM (Steve Rights Management). All your musix are belongs to Steve :p
