Let's talk about Sci-Fi movies

John Carter (2012) - was an easy watch, but didn't really wow me much. Then I read about the history and origin of it, and its influence on SciFi culture and couldn't help but be disappointed that they made such a nothing movie out of it

I enjoyed John Carter as a stand alone movie. It had potential. It actually spurred me on to go and read the source material.

I must say I did watch it on a 4.5" screen on the plane, so probably missed a lot of the special effects, but still have a thing for that hottie in the warrior suit (not the creature one)

Ever play Parasite Eve? Viral mutation...neo mithocondrial cellular manipulatuon. Loved the game... book was epic... this is the original Japanese movie based on the book.

Watched it. Haha quite amuzing. One to watch with popcorn. Also since John Carpenters The Mouth of Madness (not Sci-Fi though) was mentioed earlier I rewatched that to. Good stuff! Time to rewatch my John Carpenter movies!

I could never bloody find that game back in the day. I remember it was out on PS1.
 
Watched The Thing (1982) earlier today and it was great, preferred it to the 2011 version.
