Watched it now. Was like a scifi version of Groundhog Day. Not too bad.

I watched the movie first, then read the book.
Preferred the movie... in fact it is one of my most favourite of all time.
Then I went and read everything by Carl Sagan.

There are many movies that might have a SciFi grounding, but essentially are so fantastical that they cross into the fantasy genre. How do we decided on those?
Talking about Judge Dredd and the post-apocalyptic/dystopian future theme which is surely a sub-genre of sic-fi, I haven't seen mentioned...

If it has a sci-fi grounding, it\s sci-fi. Fantasy movies are things like Willow, Legend , Labryinth, Snowwhite and the Huntsman etc.
